2012 Weather Watch

I couldn't seem to ever quench my thirst last year until the sun went down...no matter how much water I was constantly drinking. I'm a pale white boy from Seattle who's family moved here from Scotland. What does that all mean? It means I swim in my fucking clothes if the temp goes well above 80. I for one would welcome a little rain with open arms if the tradeoff is a weekend of mostly tolerable temperatures. Sorry lizards, looks like the heat lamp won't be on high this weekend.

After 20 years of living in San Diego, I've learned that nowhere do people bitch about the weather more than where it's just about as close to absolutely perfect year round as you can get. I guess it's a SoCal thing.

Personally, after having invested hundreds of dollars in the shade/mist/best sunscreen/50 SPF lip balm etc. I'm still happier than pig in shit about the forecast. Who gives a shit, when I'm about to have one of the best 4-day periods of my entire life? And then, I can put all that shit to use when it warms up for weekend 2.

BTW... all you bitching about the weather for weekend 1 - lots of W2 peeps are looking to trade.

This. I spent $70 alone on sun screen fabric materials for my canopy, but I'd be even happier if the conditions didn't require me to have to use them.

Most weather reports I'm reading are predicting 50 mph wind gusts in the desert on Friday. Might be tough for the campers with canopies.

Rain would be nice, especially a desert rain storm. A 50/50 chance of rain in the desert usually means it might rain for 15 minutes. Maybe really hard, but you will be hard pressed finding persistant mud puddles on the Polo fields. The grass and air will dry it out real quick.

Some people like it boiling, some cooler. The wind is a much harder sell. I hope we can all agree NOBODY is hoping for 50 mph gusts.

But I also think that this "rain" could move earlier in the week as the weather report moved the rain from sunday to saturday to friday throughout last week. We just need it to push one more day!

Wind mixed with cold sweats is the worst. At least I'll know where the stages are this time.
