Don't want to be the bearer of bad news Goat but they made us pour out our 55 gallons of water last year at security:-(( They allow a container that is maximum 5 gallons apparently but you can bring as many as you want so they do not limit how much water you can bring, but they do limit how large of a container it is in. Sorry to be a bummer:-((( It really pissed me off last year!I'm trying to make an area that's 50x30 (five camp sites) decorated and blocked off from our tent sites. All five spots would be sleeping inside vehicles and have at least two canopies. Mine will have three canopies. No tents in my space. Then a cooking area and bar next site over with the dry ice, 55 gallon water drum, 25 gallons of drinking water.
I have mesh screening to block in the whole block and to connect over two campsites above. So we can have a mesh open air space for tents with a mesh over them. You never know how this will go down due to parking. Its pointless to have a plan. Just like I can't plan my schedule inside the festival until I get set times. Coachella has us on lock.
Be cool and you can get pretty much anything through security. They pick on the donkeys.
Goat - you are a God among humans!
Thanks for raising the bar...
This was much more entertaining when you were hydr1 and everyone hated you.
Lol... You guys don't get the fact that once you break down your ego and see things from a different dimension, all this weird shit and innovation will naturally come through. It makes me sick to see that god bullshit. Thanks for the complement, but I'm a fuck up of a human and I like art and getting weird. I have been in enough situations like these to slowly realize what makes things so comfortable when camping in the desert or partying at a festie.
So instead of a 5 gallon solar shower. I figured a 55 gallon drum of water with a hydro pump hooked to a light dimmer would make a great shower. Strap a 2x4 to the rack on my jeep and attach a tarp. Connect a hose to the hydro pump and put a shower head on it. We have running water and power. Its these little ideas that will allow me to camp in style.
I'm very keen on the whole jacuzzi suites and air conditioning idea at Coachella. I'm used to camping in the sierras and backpacking....so the luxury of having so many trucks to carry stuff is really blowing my mind. I'm used to bringing only what I can fit in my backpack and hike 10 miles up a 12,000 foot mountain.
I can bring my pillow and my lovesac man.
Cool...would not want that to happen to anyone else:-)Lol no worries. Neighborhood creep already told me about what happened to y'all last year. So we're bringing them in 5 gallon buckets for shower, cleaning and squirt guns. Sparkles bottles for drinking water. The 55 gallon will be dry and loaded with other gear. When we get there we empty the orange homer buckets into the blue 55gal drum. We needed a way to move the 55 gal drum from the truck anyways, because my buddy is sleeping in the bed. The orange buckets can be used as stools and storage all over camp.
I wasn't aware of that H>G>T.
Excellent set up Goat, What lot are you guys shooting for?

Car Camping week 1 Coachella 2012
I make those hats custom...fractals.
Shoot me an old fitted hat and I will make you one
NICE!!!!! I'll message you on FB or something for your address and shit when I get one.
Yeah I got a po box. I'll send you pics of the designs on top too. That hat was a grey akrylic hat before I got to it.
I spray paint and puffy paint them and stencil geometric shit on them and then weld the fractal art on the bill.
Perfect, thanks man. I'll be sending you an Angels hat of some sort.
With baseball season coming up I gotta get a new lid and would love some custom art on it.
The embroidery will still show the logo. I'm doing a dodgers hat for BRTH1 right now.
Ok chill. Anyway you can send me a few pics on FB? I'll message you
