OK! wesbite noted: "Angie walked onto the stage in her black velvet Atelier Versace gown and struck a pose with one hand on her hip and one leg forward to show through the slit of her dress. While Angie may have been trying to best show off her gown, the pose looked.... awkward.

We thought we just heard wrong when the audience laughed after Angie took her stance, but winner Jim Rash confirmed people found Angie's pose to be funny. When Jim accepted his award for The Descendants, along with Alexander Payne and Nat Faxon, he mocked Angie's pose by trying to replicate it!

What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that Angie was still on stage! She still had to present the award for Best Writing, Original Screenplay."
So, how did Angie handle being made fun of? Well, she stopped doing that pose."

She really wanted to show off her emaciated chicken leg.

Congratulations to the Oscars for giving away the climax of a couple movies in the clips they played.

Nothing quite like watching a mystery when you already know who the bad guy is!

Do you say this having seen the films already or totally cold viewing any of them. Usually I hear people point this out when its the former which then clues in a bunch of people who had no idea anyways... heh

Oh Lord was that boring. I know it's an awards show, but the Oscars at least usually have a sense of occasion, a bit of grandeur. The whole thing felt flat. WTF was up with the musicians in the boxes? Sheila E. Ha.

So I've read that the microphone sound problem was not heard in the theater but was a "downstream" problem with the broadcast. I was wondering why presenters were not reacting to it, but that still seems pretty embarassing.

That tinny microphone problem was very irritating. I don't really get the Angelina hate. She's still hot if a little thin. I hope she's ok.

She is more than a little thin, especially if you compare to previous photos. Her arms are scary skinny. I could have sworn I just read in some magazine while getting my hair done that she was pregnant with twins again but maybe it was a really old magazine.

I'd love to agree with Ivy, but certainly at the time, his performance in Leon was way too out there for the Academy. i thin their sensibilities have changed though.

I think two of most lauded performances, in Sid & Nancy and JFK could have viable though

My personal favorite performance of his after Leon though, has to be True Romance. Such a fucking scene stealer in that.

Well... I don't want to give away the most egregious example... but it was on the level of revealing the mysterious bad guy in his mysterious bad guy acts in a 5 second clip. You know, like showing Norman Bates' mother. Usually the clips are out of context so significantly that you couldn't put two and two together... in this case, it was literally the hero bound by the (secret) villain. Nice work, Academy... oh, and your awards show sucks.

I recently read a pretty good GQ article on Gary Oldman, in it they discuss that he was a heavy favorite for the Contender in 2000, but he didn't even end up with a nomination and it was likely because he was open with his right wing political views while discussing the film.
