Wonder if anyone is recording these. I wanna see the Chavez set but I dont have time today.
Fuck ty segall sounds really good. I need to see them soon.
godspeed sounded great. crowd thankfully was thinnish and respectful due to most of the crowd going to watch some other trash. had tons of room in front of the sb.
we went in around 6pm to get food and see godspeed. got tickets outside for $20. felt like they doubled the capacity, and if you have ever been to this festival in the past, you can imagine how crowded this felt. i almost tripped over a mustache twice. lines to get food were about 30 minutes long and a few vendors had already run out of food. good times all around. /ihatepitchforkrant
Lick an orange, it tastes like an orange. Lick a pineapple, it tastes like a pineapple. Go ahead, try it. Try some more. The strawberries taste like strawberries. The snozzberries taste like snozzberries! We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams. Come along, come along.
Was it just me or was the sound pretty quiet?
Saturday was by far the most jammed. Friday was empty due to the rain (Greg Kot said there were 5,000 no shows out of 18,000 tickets sold). I don't think they changed the number of tickets sold this year relative to previous years, it was just crammed at the mainstage on Saturday due to Wild Flag/Sleigh Bells/Hot Chip and then Godspeed (although lots of folks came over to Grimes since Pitchfork is full of Skrillex fans /sarcasm - she mentioned she's on tour with him at the start).

Were you one of the hipsters not in the best of moods when it was raining?
And Yes, Saturday was much worse than Friday regarding the rain.
A couple galleries up actually.

Ha! No, I was in a great mood - Lotus Plaza in a downpour was very enjoyable to me for some reason. Seemed to match the songs' mood. Couldn't help but smile like an idiot the whole damn time. Especially the older song they played, was it "Quicksand" ? Regardless, I remember waving at you and saying "Hey Chris!" but wasn't sure if you heard me or not. On the way out you snapped a picture of my poncho-covered Girlfriend and I.
What was your favorite set? I thought Dirty Projectors and even Vampire Weekend sounded the best... kind of surprised at the latter, since they have been out of the circuit for a bit.
PS: Great pictures! Bringing back fun memories.

The rain didn't bother me, I brought a poncho, and after the Austin City Limits '09 rain-and-mud fest, I can tolerate a little rain.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

I was at All Points West 2009, so dont even try to fucking say I don't know how it is to deal with rain. But just saying, attend the festival as part of the media and let me know how you feel when your gear is wrapped up in a plastic bag and youre trying to do your fucking job.

Only made it to Saturday of Pitchfork this year. As more and more festivals are in Chicago I might becoming desensitized to excitement? Black Flag was great as usual. Sleigh Bells decently average. Hot Chip fairly average set...was hoping to hear Motion Sickness from the new album.
Anyone make it to the Flying Lotus after party that was busted before he went on? I was there for a few...cool spot.
