Coachella Weather... this year is shaping up to be hot as balls

The link is based on historical averages [Coachella being in the high 80s-low 90s usually] and not an actual prediction, weather stations can typically only predict a month or so in the future. That being said, if you look at this past Jan/Feb it has been around its averages, with a few outliers like the past few days. Yes, it's warmer this week, but personally I think its a bit hasty to start predicting April weather based off February, but whatever gets us to Coachella sooner I guess.

I live 3 miles from the venue - the weather flexes up and down this time of year. We could be looking at 90's all the way up to 110's it really depends. The last 2 years we have had fantastic weather for the fest....I'm sure some of you remember years where it's 110 and we are f'n dying out there.

It was stupidly hot in 09 but being sick may have made it worse than it actually was.
I remember getting back to LA and they said it was the hottest April weekend for a billion years or something? Roughly a billion, anyway.

It's currently a comfy 55F in the South Bay of Los Angeles. 40% chance of rain with an expected high of 55F tomorrow. It's been cool/comfy this winter. I hope it isn't too hot in Indio in April, at least hotter than it has been the last few years!

ahh yes, you are right, i read it wrong. either way, guessing the weather 2 months in advance is about as smart as guessing set times and should be avoided.

There are 11 year cycles that the earth goes through depending on the activity of the sun and we're in part of the cycle that there are more extremes. So it's most likely going to be hotter than usual. I'm not completely sure on why but I know that the lack of sunspots on the sun right now is part of the reason.

I live here in the coachella valley and we seriously had almost no winter this year. It never gets super cold anyway but this year it was only cold (by our standards) for a few weeks. Today, I was sweating when I got off work at 5. I hate to say that I think our summer is going to be dreadful. I would say plan for the worst. I can only remember it raining like twice all winter. Not looking good.
