I'm sad that I missed the impromptu board meet-up there, but I did see the last half of the set and was awed. DJ Shadow's bass pushed me out of that set even though we were at the rail.

M.O.D.E.S.E.L.E.K.T.O.R. - tied the rave to that bamboo structure, then burned it down.
small crowd sure, but those who where there loved every minute of Monkeytown
So much fun. I was right up front on the right... and my right ear is paying the price. I think I may have taken pics or video. I haven't gotten around to seeing what's on the camera yet.
The crowd was on the smaller side, but appeared to grow through the course of the set. F it, more room for me to dance up close.
Ugh!
So who do I see Florence + the Machine or Modeselektor
Gf wants to see Flo and I wanna dance my ass off. I've already gone weekend 1 and still have conflicts.
I let the girls go have their fun at Florence. I made friends and danced. Everything worked out perfectly.
dope set! modeselektor killed it!! just slightly upset that i left early to catch a good spot for dre/snoop, even if that was one of my favorite sets of the weekend.
Definitely my favorite set of the weekend. So much fun. They played every single song i wanted to hear except Sucker Pin. We started to leave halfway through to see 10 minutes of Avicii and bounce back, but then they started playing Kill Bill so we ran back and danced like idiots outside of the tent. Definitely the most memorable moment of the whole weekend.
So the last two years, the Sunday night Mojave electronic set has been the best show of the festival. Hopefully this is a tradition that continues.
For your health
from what i seen, i was blown away! as much as i wanted to stay for the full set i just couldn't miss out on snoop and dre

Best dance set of the entire weekend. It was a small crowd but not a soul was standing still. It was kind of lame that none of my friends wanted to see it but it turned out to be a good thing because I lost all control during Kill Bill. I apologize for the ridiculous display I must have put on during that song.
NO APOLOGIES.
5/25-5/27: MOVEMENT DETROIT
6/6: The Field @ The Independent
6/26: Colin Stetson @ The Chapel
LOVED their set. Went in not expecting too much, but came away thoroughly impressed. And just as w/ Leftfield last year, the space to dance was greatly appreciated.
Crowd was also great - dancing w/ reckless abandon from front to back.
this set was something else! as with the presets last year, i was beyond blown away again. very front, not too packed, crowd was losing it, and even with staying til the end we had just enough time to run to the main and see all of dre and snoop. couldn't have asked for a better way to end the weekend.
HA, there's a moment in the recording where you hear a girl yell, "SO FUCKING GOOD!"

i just wish they'd worked Grillwalker into their set
To anyone thinking of seeing them - they just gave a presentation at my school and said they have "something very special" planned for their weekend 2 set. DJ Shadow (and ATDI) would be hard to pass up, but just delivering info.
