I'm reading Marilyn Manson rumors
Please check out my blog Sleeping is Giving In for some great mixes and other good things!
will Lana Del Rey guest during Marilyn?
The Marilyn Manson rumor was started based on a couple guesses... It was spread on festival outlook. Not that I completely hate the idea of MM being at Lolla, I just hate the possibility of him taking up a headliner spot better left for someone better. Either way, I hope we get Beck so I dont regret skipping on Sasquatch. Jack White is already a great add. Other than him, Justice, The Weeknd, Die Antwoord, The Growlers, Bloc Party and apparently The Big Pink have been confirmed. People are updating Festival Outlook pretty quickly with the confirmations.

I hope you're right. Stranger things have happened. No one thought Yeah Yeah Yeahs or MMJ made much sense in previous years. MMJ had a small crowd... YYYs did well though, actually beating Tool for numbers. Any way it goes, I'm hoping this year will be stronger than last. I was a little let down by the 20th Anniversary lineup. Not a bad lineup, just kinda average.

YYY's headlined because Beasties dropped out. Manson would not play unless it was dark. No one wants to see Marilyn in the light

wait, i was not there in that year, but you want to tell me that YYYs had a bigger crowd than Tool at Lolla ?!?!?
sounds extremely weird...
Yeah, I know they were a fill in for the Beastie's after Mike D's cancer treatment. I was a little disappointed that they dropped, but I like the YYYs, and they put on a great show by all accounts. It just goes to show that Lolla can be strange with their booking... I'd suspect MM would be the 6th place headliner, but I guess it doesn't really matter as there are 2 headliners every night. Hell, I might even go to see him if the alternative is weak.
And yeah, YYYs had a larger crowd than Tool, as surprising as that may be. Confirmed with security the next day...
I'm getting antsy by the lack of hints this weekend.

Sigur Ros and Santigold confirmed today via the subway station hints/tweets. Damn this is a sweet lineup already.
love this^
i just hope that sigur rós has a date at red rocks leading up to this.

^ Agreed but I think as long as they play the last slot of the night in the dark it'll be fine.
Only problem with this is I don't feel they will hold a top 6 spot so if they do play at dusk on the last spot of the night it could be headlining the grove stage v.s. the 2 headliners. Conflicts galore.
sigur rós closing the stage they put back in trees on the north end would be perfect
Lick an orange, it tastes like an orange. Lick a pineapple, it tastes like a pineapple. Go ahead, try it. Try some more. The strawberries taste like strawberries. The snozzberries taste like snozzberries! We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams. Come along, come along.
don't know the name of it. whatever stage beirut closed last year saturday.

Yeah that's The Grove and that seems a little small for them I think, but who knows.
I couldn't imagine if Sigur Ros is on that side stage on the south side like how it was for explosions this year.
I'm inclined to say that Sigur Ros closing the Grove stage is quite plausible. 2 of the 3 grove stage closers last year were Beirut and Cold War Kids.
Cold War Kids, it should be noted, was (inexplicably) the #7 name on the Lolla poster last year which is around where I expect to see Sigur Ros.
So Sunday's last slot will probably be something along the lines of Jay-Z (South Stage Headliner) v.s. Justice (North Stage Headliner) v.s. Sigur Ros (Grove Stage headliner).

Yeppers.
Last year's lineup:

I'm not surprised if Sigur Ros is around 7th as the demographic isn't really in tune with their music. I know I'll be there.
