ain't it just like the night, to play tricks when you're trying to be so quiet
and but for the sky there are no fences facing
but i don't know how it happened, but the riverboat captain, he knows my fate
His clothes are dirty but his hands are clean

She can take the dark out of the nighttime and paint the daytime black
You may call me Bobby, you may call me Zimmy
It takes a fast car, lady,
To lead a double life.
Steal a little and they throw you in jail. Steal a lot and they make you king
"Well, that's just like, you know... your opinion, man"
Now I wish I could write you a melody so plain
That could hold you dear lady from going insane
That could ease you and cool you and cease the pain
Of your useless and pointless knowledge
Time is an ocean but it is at the shore, you may not see me tomorrow
Not sure if this has been discussed, but this is awesome. I hope he makes an acceptance speech.

No fat chicks.
Bent out of shape from society's pliers, cares not to come up any higher, but rather get you down in the hole that he's in
All I really want to do is, baby, be friends with you
“Oh, help me in my weakness”
It takes a fast car, lady,
To lead a double life.
