    Default Celebrity Cemetery

I was thinking of making a thread to consolidate all of the several hilarious threads we have on here dedicated to dead celebrities. I figure why not just have one that highlights all the good times and bad times of a celebrities life / death. Most of us are in our early 20s to mid 30s on here and a lot of our celebrities are dropping like flies these days. Recent examples include Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Etta James, Whitney Houston, etc. It will be like Hollywood Forever Cemetery interwebz style. I would like to start off this thread by paying tribute to one of my heroes growing up; none other than George Carlin. The world lost a brilliant and hilarious mind when he passed. If there is an afterlife I hope George is doing fat lines of coke off of a strippers ass. Here's to you George!

One of the few comedians I genuinely miss. The world is a lesser place without Bernie Mac.

Bernie Mac was definitely the celebrity death that actually disappointed me. Amy Winehouse's death would have disappointed me too, had she died closer to her 2007 success, and not after a useless hiatus of crack... But I used to watch The Bernie Mac Show after I got home from school, and so he has a very fond place in my memory.

I wish someone actually had the time to scour the board and collect all of our old "it's raining" threads into this one. Nice little time capsule.

I know Sublime might not get much love on this board but as a kid the passing of Brad Nowell really bummed me out. Here you have a talented individual who was raised in the LBC and learned Spanish from his construction worker buddies. A white boy fluent in Spanish how bad ass is that! Many mornings I woke up listening to Sublime getting ready to skateboard around town, drink beer and smoke cigarettes with friends.

You know, but that's valid because if we are all gonna die anyway shouldn't we be enjoying ourselves now? You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor insignificant preamble to something else.

    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
