it looks like Coachella minus the more unique acts like Jeff Mangum, Pulp, GY!BE and Dre/Snoop... plus, Bonnaroo has Skrillex
Coachella wins
Coachella is better, period. Way better acts overall. Plus who wants to go to Tennessee anyways. Put these threads in the poll section
Blink-182 w/New Politics & Atlas Genius September 18 @ SB Bowl
Thirty Seconds to Mars October 12 @ Hollywood Bowl
Bonnaroo is awful this year. Just completely awful except for the headliners.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world.
Coachella: 08, 09, 10, 11, 12w1, 12w2, 13w1
Lollapalooza: 08,10,11,12
Burning Man: 08,10
beach boys is cool, but coachella lineup way out does bonnaroo this year, no doubt about it
verveman77:
There is very little on that poster I'd actually get excited about, and most of it is at Coachella. If Bonnaroo was my festival I'd be pissed. But then again it's two entirely different crowds, looks like most on Inforoo love it.
Coachella looks way better, but Bonaroo does have better headliners, by the looks of it. Ben Folds Five is also a nice get.
I would take both Black Keys and Dre/Snoop over either Phish or RHCP any day. But I can also easily see how that would be reversed based on personal preferences.
I was planning on going to Bonnaroo until I saw that lineup, all my friends are in love with the lineup. HOW?! I know its because they already bought tickets during the pre sale and dont want to think they are getting screwed. I will not be going to that. No Jack White?!? how did that not happen? I was holding out for something amazing but it didnt happen. The farm is fun and pretty magical but I cant wait to walk on grass this year at the polo club! That dust last year at Roo was way too much. I will miss being able to roll joints out in the open though and buying a pipe on the grounds. I love having a festival pipe collection.
Ben Folds Five... well, they should tour, right?
Weekend 1
Friday: Blur, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Japandroids, Earl Sweatshirt, Jamie XX
Saturday: Phoenix, The xx, Postal Service, New Order, Hot Chip, Grizzly Bear, Descendents, Violent Femmes, Bat For Lashes, Danny Brown
Sunday: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Vampire Weekend, Wu-Tang Clan, James Blake, Grimes, Dinosaur Jr., OMD, Cloud Nothings
Coachella 2004, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013.
Black Star (Mos Def + Talib Kweli) and The Beach Boys are both unreal gets but other than that this lineup pales in comparison to Coachellas
But I would never go to Bonnaroo, Waaaayyyyy too many people
skrillex set wont even be fun at roo, the crowd will be so huge it will be insane. the lack of EDM music is what is keeping me away.
Do people in that area not listen to EDM? Behind the times.

Yeah, I was hoping we would get Ben Folds Five at Coachella this year! Maybe next, or I'll catch them on tour!
I may have missed it but I think it's interesting that the Roo and the lineup is an article on CNN but I never read where they announced Coachella or the lineup. Did I just miss it or does this mean in the mainstream media, the Roo is of note but Coachella is just another festy? cr****

Coachella. There isn't enough at Bonnaroo that I haven't already seen or am dying to see too much, at least at this point.
P.S. Ludacris...? Haha his new album isn't even done yet, my buddy is a sound engineer and was telling me all about it last night, he's been working with David Guetta, Usher, and Shaggy on it for all those Ludacris fans out there.
Upon further review I do wish Dale Ernhardt Jr Jr was playing coachella... Late add...?
BEACH BOYS
THE ROOTS
Mac Miller
Mimosa
would be fucking killer Chella adds
