Bon Iver vs Flying Lotus vs GY!BE vs Jeff Mangum

HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION: It's Tuesday, April 10th and the set times have just been released. GV fucks up and puts Bon Iver on the Main, Jeff Mangum on the Outdoor, GY!BE in the Gobi, and Flying Lotus in the Sahara, all starting at 9:30 p.m. and ending at 10:45 p.m., right before Radiohead closes out the Main at 11:00.

Who are you watching and why?


P.S. I know the ridiculousness of the hypothetical situation, I know the ridiculousness of discussing conflicts before time are released, and I know the ridiculousness of having Flylo in the Sahara, so STFU.

Weekend 1 - Godspeed, only because I haven't seen them before, and saw Bon Iver only a few months ago. Weekend 2 - probably Bon Iver, unless everyone raves about Mangum so much, I feel like I can't miss him twice.

One of two scenarios will unfold

Scenario A.
I watch Flying Lotus and then rush over to GY!BE and watch a few minutes and ultimately be bored after the high that is Flying Lotus and rush over to the Main in time to elbow my way thru slackjawed couples swaying to Bon Iver and get a decent spot for Radiohead.

Scenario B.
I watch the GY!BE and have an existential breakdown, make my way to my tent to call it a night and fall asleep in the fetal position as 'Karma Police' is faintly heard in the distance.

Jeff Mangum.

1. I live in L.A. and will probably be seeing Flying Lotus at least three times during 2012.
2. Bon Iver has a long career ahead of them and seeing them at a future date is not a big deal.
3. Godspeed You! Black Emperor would be depressing to miss but at the end of the day, I listen to NMH much more.

maybe a little more of Godspeeds on the second weekend though, being that I've seen FlyLo plenty already.

I live in LA too and I know we have many opportunities to see him at Low End Theory, etc. But his Coachella 2010 performance was incredible, and he'll be debuting his new album this year. I think this will trumph any show that he would usually put on.

^Me as well. I might even take Flying Lotus over Radiohead if the conflict arose. Radiohead is great and all, but I'll take FlyLo unveiling a new album/live show.
