I don't use it nearly as often as I should. But in the last two weeks I've tried to use it on both of my computers, and also regularly scrobble my iphone... I just listen to vinyl too much when I'm at home.

(732): He told me his condom was going to expire tomorrow and he needed to use it. I can't believe I fell for it.

I just recently reset all my stats on last.fm which is why I have a relatively low play count / number of artists but please feel free to add me. I don't have to many friends on there yet.
see sig
So I just signed up for last.fm right now.
Looking at my top played artists, and I am very surprised. Now, I should mention that last November my computer decided to fuck up and they had to restart from scratch. Luckily all the files were able to be backed up first and I didn't loose any of my music. However, I did loose all previous information of what I had listened to. Now, with that being said... my top played artists is Boards of Canada. By more then double of my second top played artist (The Black Keys). Now, the only time I ever listen to Board of Canada is when I study. So, I guess I study a lot more than I thought I did.
Anyways, besides track my music and shows... what else can last.fm do that I should know about?
4/19-4/21 Coachella
5/25 Flying Lotus, Thundercat, Teebs @ The Fox Theatre
5/29 Tame Impala @ The Fox Theatre
??? Bjork @ The Craneway Pavilion
12/1 Stooges-Palladium
12/12 Jay-z & Kanye -Staples Center
12/15 Black Star- Club Nokia
It'll recommend other artists that you may like based on your listening habits. You'll also get a list of neighbours who have similar taste to you who you can interact with if you so wish (they don't call it anti-social networking). If you add people you know as friends, you can keep track of when they add shows through your news feed and mock what they listen to (paulb?).
fuck off chris.
Upcoming Shows:
Pitchfork Festival: 7/19 @ Union Park
Mountain Oasis Festival: 10/25-27
Cool, thanks for help Chris. For my suggestions it told me to check out Fleet Foxes because they are apparently similar to Yeasayer and Grizzly Bear... so I am not sure how well it works.
You are letting him wind you up.
How do the radio stations work? Do I just type in an artist I like, and it will suggest other artists?
I am here
Josh, what's your last.fm ID?
Yes, the radio stations can work like that. If you've used Pandora, you can also import your Pandora stations. You're also automatically given suggestions based on your listening history.
I most like listening to my 'neighborhood' and have found lots of new music by looking at people who are my 'neighbors' to see what they listen to that I've not heard of. I end up using it in kind of a wikipedia recursive crawling stalking way where clicking on one person or band results in an hour of following other links/recommendations.
Oh, and here I am http://www.last.fm/user/josherickson
And thanks for the help guys.
