Mike Trout absolutely deserves the AL MVP but how do you not give it to a guy the did something that hasn't been done in 45 years? If this season is any indication of what Trout's career is going to be like then he got quite a few in his future.

How is overall team record more important than making the post season? The Tigers got the job done. The Angels didn't. Without Cabrera the Tigers aren't getting there. Take Mike Trout off the Angels and they still finish third or worse. Hence, Cabrera is more valuable.
