on a side note: i flew up to chicago last week for the braves/cubs series and had a good time. other than the fact that the cubbies took the series 2-1, it was fantastic. before the start of the third game, chipper had the honors of giving the lineup to the home plate umpire. after he did that, dempster presented chipper with the braves pennant that flies over the scoreboard at wrigley. very classy move by the club. even more classy were the fans. when he grounded out at his last at-bat (barring a post-season match up), the majority of fans gave him a standing ovation. fun times

Speaking of playoffs, can someone enlighten me as to why teams in baseball do the whole champagne in the locker room thing after each series victory? You don't see teams do that in hockey or basketball. They high five each other and enjoy the moment, but realize there's still work to be done. In baseball, teams win the first round and act like it was the World Series. I don't get it.
