Cool American artists and British artists

    Hey guys!

Hope you are all as excited for the big event as i am, not long to go now!!!

I am from England and will be visiting for the first time!

There are quite a few Brits on the line up this year; Kasabian, Noel Gallagher, The Vaccines, Artic Monkeys, Kaiserchiefs, Florence and the Machine, Calvin Harris etc...

All of which i am obviously very familiar with but there are quite a few of the smaller American acts i havent heard of, who do you guys suggest i shouldnt miss? or any suggestions of who i should be making every effort to see? i'm very open in my music, and love listening to new stuff! i like anything from Indie to Hiphop, Dance to RnB so i like a wide range!

Also if you need any infomation on any of the British artists that you may not know but want to know just ask and i'll try and give you as much info that i know!!

What about those new up-and-coming British beat groups .... Madness, Pulp and Radiohead?

    To NOT be sarcastic....

These aren't necessarily American, but they're not Brits: the Sheepdogs, Gary Clark Jr., The Dear Hunter, GIVERS, Manchester Orchestra, and the Head and the Heart are a few.

I would say you could miss Andrew Bird and his exercise in whistling, but unsure of who you know I'll start near the bottom of the posters and say The Black Lips are a must see provided they don't have a major conflict with anyone it will be a fun set.

Other Lives is also pretty good they sort of sound like The National. I saw them open for Bon Iver and they put on a pretty good show. I didn't know who they were before that show and they really impressed.

Hi thanks very much for all the info and for the time taken to reply! seen metronomy about 2 years ago in a little club in Liverpool (about 20 minutes from where I live) they were amazing! I will definetely been seeing them again and would recommend anybody to see them, their latest album is such a summer soundtrack! Am spending my working days hitting up YouTube doing my homework!
