When to show up at Coachella?

So far my friends and I were thinking og showing up around 2-3pm on Thursday (we are going 2nd weekend) and we are doing car camping. Is this an okay time to show up? Should we come earlier on Thursday? What time do most people show up? We want to be able to get close parking. Thanks a bunch see y'all there!

Also, an extra question if anyone can answer: I know we aren't allowed to being water bottles filled with water, but I don't want to pay a ton for one bottle. Could I bring water in a different container? If so, does anyone have any suggestions?

2-3pm is fine. you can show up anytime you want after 11 on thursday but be prepared to spend up to 2 hours waiting to get into your spot. Obviously the advantage to showing up early is that you have daylight to set up your camp.

We like to show up early, but it's not essential, it's fun to just get a feel for your surroundings and get settled in, people come through all day and night.

They are allowing people to check-in at 9am Thursday this year (sweet!), where noon-1pm used to be the start. I'd check back here during Week 1 to really nail down the logistics. One benefit from going to week two! It all depends on which lot you are shooting for.

Yeah, check back after week 1 to get the best idea. For the most part, the later you show up, the longer you wait to get in and the further you get from the entrance. If you show up at 2-3, my guess is you'll end up somewhere in lot 8.

You can't bring any beverages at all, you couldn't bring unopened water bottles. You can bring empty bottles to fill up inside or smuggle stuff in, that's easy

Wait until you're out of Texas, I got my car fully searched just past El Paso last time I did that drive. They were stopping every car with dogs and everything

I just did a road trip to and from Austin from LA. Roads were chill, but we only smoked in Cali cause other states freak me out. Just don't speed cause I saw many cars pulled over for that and I'd assume they were searched.

This sums up the El Paso stop. There's also a new stop outside of Las Cruces. I got searched there fairly good last year.

Thursday afternoon!!!!! People, not cops, will be "searching" cars basically looking for the items
your not supposed to bring into the camp. Secondly they will be looking for drugs, so BE CLEAVER ^_^

Feel free to bring your own food and beverages into onsite camping. Refer to FAQ's below as to what is allowed.
No glass containers, weapons, drug paraphernalia or drugs allowed.
No animals will be allowed in the campground.
No open flames (GPS we are not talking about you)
No Tiki Torches
No Fireworks or any types of explosives

*_Bring as much water you need and a hefty amount of beer. They will have ice bags for sale on friday

RABABLAZE Do not drive I10 with stuff. Bring enough to swallow for until you get to el paso. You will go through checkpoint @ el paso and you will go through 2-4 more. Ive drivin it MANY times and been pulled out of my car guns drawn handful of times bc the dogs alerted. No joke. You will not have a hard time finding potent everything @coachella ^_^ be safe peace
