Damn, I have to admit that the photos you put up make you look incredibly less crazy and extreme than I had gathered from your posts and such on these boards.
And yes I read through your whole profile and yes I have actually read about 6 books by Louise Erdrich and yes I totally think that qualifies me as the greatest match you have met on okc.
And SHIT this is the first time I ever even looked at OKC, now I have an incredible urge to fuck around on it thinking it'll yield different results than pof and craigslist has.
PS: the erdrich books were, indeed, soft cover.
Fascinating. Please tell us more. Spare no details.

I'm writing my thesis on Erdrich so I guess that means we're married.

Do you mention writing a thesis in your profile? Maybe that's why you attract long-winded pseudointellectuals like TEASNOB.

Love Medicine was the first book I read by her, so I'll always like it, but it is far from my favorite.
Tales of Burning Love stands out to me as, imo, her greatest novel in the "series". But that is a biased opinion only because I actually really liked the narrative device of the women trapped in the car.
While I admit Shadow Tag can be considered to be fairly weak compared to her other works, I found it to be the most amazing read of all the books I've read by her. The sick feeling in my gut while reading through some of the scenes/dialogue in that book was...fantastic.
And Fleur, has got to be one of the most attractive and intriguing characters I've come across. I don't mean only Four Souls either, even her small roles/mentions in the other books add to her mystique.
And there we have it, marriage is cool w me as long as you are home well before 7:30...you see where I am going with this.
has my pseudointellectual bullshit turned your legs into noodles yet
Psuedo's even a stretch here.

Hellohi. I’m Robby. Here’s the part where I attractively compartmentalize myself with a series of sentences. I’m a creative, intelligent, driven...
After a 30 minute conversation with a crazy hot looking girl, I say girl and not woman intentionally, I decided to delete my pof account and cease all online dating fuckery. It was our first time talking on the phone, and not minutes into the conversation I am hearing about how hard her life has become due to how much she drinks, the pills she takes, and the classes she is taking to complete her psychology degree (surprise surprise).
"EVERYONE goes to class fucked up on some sort of pills and/or alcohol. Like 98% of students do" she says
And then she proceeds to explain how her mom is worried about her because her drunk female friend showed a little too much attraction to her (the girl I was speaking with) in front of the mother while they were all drunk. K that sounded confusing, basically, the girl I was talking to admitted to light lesbian play with her best friend when they get drunk.
After about 30 minutes of me trying to figure out where the hell the conversation was going (no where), she says "god I don't know how I am going to pass this exam"
So I said "mix a cocktail and crack that book open"
She says immediately after that cocktail comment, "you are a fucking douche bag you know that? Seriously, you are SUCH a douche bag"
I had an out of body experience at that moment and was faced with a very simple question: what the fuck am I doing with my life when I think talking to girls like this is a good idea?
I said "You are absolutely correct. I really am a douche bag. Good luck with school"
And that was that. I realize online dating is a whole new game, almost like speed dating, you just go through so many options and weed out the bad ones...I get it. Maybe online dating just isn't my thing. I find it more discouraging than encouraging.
Although, I have another date set up with the very first woman I met from pof. She is 29 w a phd and has her shit together, a heart of gold to top it off. Even if this falls through with her, I still highly doubt I will be returning to online dating.
I thought dogvolta was going complain about getting herpes or something after the first couple sentences.
She sounds like a sweet girl.
Um, my housemate asked me to be his plus one to a match.com event coming up at some wine tasting room. That costs $38 per person. My response was absolutely not. Though I'm curious as to why they would even have an event that you were supposed to bring a date or plus one to? What the fuck?

You're allowed to bring a guest. I think any normal person would bring like.. a wing man.
So you go home with someone without feeling ripped off for paying $40 for an event.
I thought they advertised these events as free? That's an awful feeling, paying for match.com THEN paying for a match.com party that is most likely filled with socially challenged butterflies.
For $80 (thats the price of admission for yourself + wingman) you could order your favorite meal, booze and have your local drug dealer bring you a personalized dose of your favorite illicit substance and have a grand ole time compared to the nightmare these meetup parties can be. DJ'd a J-Date once in Manhattan where the chemistry between attendees was worse than that of a 7th grade fall dance

Oh he's always trying to get me to be his wing-man. I'm all for open bar events (if that's even what that is) but there's no way in hell I'd ever shell out $38 to go to some sort of adult mixer for people already invested in online dating. NO THANK YOU.
