I have no job, im 120lb overweight, i have 5 bastard children living in 5 different states, i cant cook, im unclean, i cant dance, but i ALWAYS spell out my pronouns in text messages. Lets fuck?
If you are trying to find someone fun and dynamic your attitude is horrible.
"How long will this last, this delicious feeling of being alive, of having penetrated the veil which hides beauty and the wonders of celestial vistas? It doesn't matter, as there can be nothing but gratitude for even a glimpse of what exists for those who can become open to it."
OKStupid
and just got a "hey there : )" from a new opportunity this morning to help stroke the ego. Most likely won't reply, not because of her unimaginative opening line, but because she's got giant gums.
"hey there : )"

um, there's nothing fun about asking me multiple times if i've seen boardwalk empire, after i've said yes, and then provide no commentary or interesting insight about the show. same with asking me multiple times where the black keys are playing and again providing no commentary as to why you enjoy them or what cool shows you've seen. if he had been interesting or displayed any semblance of fun, i could actually put up with the text speak. but not while someone is driving. aside from the safety issues, it comes off as extremely desperate to reply to these messages while driving. you can't wait until you get your destination to message me the same question we've already discussed?
but i guess that horrible attitude of mein is why i'm single and instead just fuck a few guys when i feel like it.

It's really not.
I had a date tonight. The girl was extremely shy, never really looked me in the eye, and if I stopped asking questions or stopped talking she just didn't say anything. It was pretty awkward but not due to any fault of my own. Not a good date...

You're right, Cara, I shouldn't have called it a night early on a bad date. I could have timed her silence for at least two more hours. I'm sure it would have been thrilling.

Well it doesn't sound like you were properly plying her with alcohol either.
Somewhere in my okc profile I mention that I think the work day should start at 10 AM. Here are TEASNOB'S thoughts.
Besides that, I am a fan of the work day starting early. Starting at 10 would mean 8 hours of work ends at 6 and if you take a lunch it's 6:30-7:00pm. That's just too late. Then by the time you get home, let's say it's 7:30. By the time dinner is cooked, it's about 8:15...You see where I'm going with this. It's just too late in my book
You've made the perilous mistake of assuming that because a work day starts later, it must finish later. If the work day finishes early then that means less hours (if it were to end at the "normal" time). Less hours means less money, less money mean Bobby won't be able to take those violin lessons that he is excited to take. Unless you are talking about working more than 5 days a week. Starting work later and ending it at the same "typical" time has a ripple effect that either needs to be compensated for in some way or another, or people would just need to get used to having less funds. Which perfectly fine, as I'm not buying anything lavishly.Less hours doesn't need to mean less money. You aren't thinking about this correctly.I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but if you make make $x amount for a 40 hour work week at $y/hr and then reduce your work day by an hour means you would make $z = ($y*35hrs) = $x - $y*5. But since I'm not thinking about it correctly, I'm assuming that these people are not getting paid more to make up for the difference. How should I be thinking about this? All of my assumptions are that everything else remains constant...Prices, food, bills, etc etc
Then again, after reading your profile on that section, it doesn't make reference to money. I'm neglecting the other gains that a shorter work day would bring such as, time with family, personal, etc etc. I'm just focusing on the financial aspect of things.
Now I will admit, I used to work for the state and thus was forced to have Fridays off without pay. And that was rather nice. Instead of working a 40 hr work week, it became a 32 hr work week. This allowed a lot more free time for my personal work, hobbies, interest, and life and I found it rather enjoyable. However, I was not compensated financially for this. But I made the necessary changes to alleviate the financial tension.Shut up.

Yeahhh, no. I'll hopefully never have a first date with someone that involves alcohol. Besides, the main appeal of a coffee/dessert date is you can leave early if it sucks and stay longer if its good. Alcohol interferes with your ability to leave early, and honestly, if the girl says "that's a hard question" when asked "what are your interests?" while she's sober, I don't think it's a problem alcohol can solve.

Ugh. "What are your interests?" is patently the most bland question I could imagine being asked on a first date.

This was asked after several other attempts at pulling teeth. Not that it matters. I promise never to ask you your interests. I'd probably get a really bland answer.
