That is important, a man who can work a grill ranks high in my book. But my grills are all pretty far from my apt so I bought one of those stovetop grill pans, they work really well. I can now "grill" my own steak and not worry about blowing up when trying to light gas or charcoal.
When I was younger well done was the only way I could eat my steak... then I realized I was chewing leather so I went with medium to medium well. I am slowly working my way towards rare. I like it red but not bleeding on my plate.
I doubt I will ever try that... but I use to say that about rare steak. I also use to hate any fat on my steak, I would pick that shit for hours just to avoid getting an ounce of fat, now rib eyes are my favorite steaks, so much more flavor.
I prefer my meat black and blue.

1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon

Actually, I gave up meat when I was 13 because I kept getting sick. I do eat chicken now.
Never eating steak hasn't deferred me from grilling it up, though.
