Last year's great late adds where Chase & Status and two bottom line acts in Miguel and Ryan Leslie. If you are expecting an act like this AFTER it sold out then I believe you are grasping for straws.

for one, chase & status are waaay bigger than the Field. 2nd, there were several more adds than that, in the sahara and the dome. 3rd, the Field was booked to play years ago in 08 and never showed up, so dont blame gv for not booking...

The only poster changes made were Chase and Status, Miguel and Ryan Leslie. No one else was added to the poster. When the schedule came out, there were a few names added (Perry, Sam XL, etc.) but not a single one was a big (or even a middle-of-the-pack) artist.

As far as Chase and Status being "waaay bigger" than The Field, it really depends on which circle you are in.

Let's not forget that fucking PRINCE was a late add in 2008. Anything is possible guys.

Prince was booked to play the festival from the beginning. He'd had surgery and Goldenvoice was waiting until he was medically cleared to perform before making the announcement. Even after Prince was announced, the festival failed to sell out and there were tickets available at the door. It was exciting for everyone who attended but those are all the reasons that an add of that caliber will never happen again.

I would fully support The Field being added. Probably won't happen but it's more of a possibility than most of the adds people are pining for.

any that matters.. gv put C&S in nighttime sahara, the field in daytime gobi. bbc gave essential mix to chase & status live @ glastonbury. as far as adds, i didnt realize that if its not on the poster its not actually at coachella. strange since i saw donald glaude, death in vegas dj set, freq nasty, ras g, kode 9, saw white noise and dj heavygrinder in the sahara, metaphase, gabe real..mala cancelled but was never on the poster, neither were ras g and kode 9 even though they were always on the lineup page..we also got 2nd sets by tokimonsta and alf alpha on days they werent scheduled to play on the poster. and yes, perry.
