    Well.....you were kind of right.

Also, Stanford owns USC. I love it. David Shaw is a hell of a coach.

(is the nono face gone again?)

The big Oregon game sure means a hell of a lot less now.
    9/17 - Buzzcocks - Fonda (?)
9/20 - Crosby, Stills & Nash - Santa Barbara Bowl
    9/21 - Caetano Veloso - Hollywood Bowl (?)
9/26 - William Basinski - Pasadena Arts Council
    9/28 - Bob Mould - Roxy (?)

Yup and I love how they can't say they lost because of Luck or Harbaugh or Gerhart or anything. They simply got outplayed and most definitely outcoached.

Cal, one of the bottom tier teams in the Pac 12 this year, goes to Columbus and almost beats "mighty" Ohio State. Michigan State, supposedly the best team in the conference, gets its ass handed to it at home by a so-so Notre Dame team. Most of the rest of the Big 10 managed to not embarass itself, beating the likes of Charleston Southern, Northern Iowa, UMass, and a couple of directional MAC schools. Indiana did manage to lose to Ball State, however. the Big 10 remains a fraud.

I'm not usually a football fan, but UCLA has made me watch every game this season. They look good already, and they also look like they have lots of room to grow. I hope they can keep performing they way they have so far. I haven't seen a UCLA team play like this at least since 2005.

Tedford deserves to be fired for that decision to kick a FG in the 4th.

Yep. Especially after their kicker shanked a shot worse than Gostkowski's on an earlier possession...

Tedford deserved to be fired on many other occasions before that too. He has brought Cal to a point of respectability (to an extent) but I can't see them getting any better under him.

Dont know if you've ever seen a UCLA game at the Rose Bowl, but if you haven't I would recommend it. Great atmosphere on game day and the Mountains as a back drop are amazing.
You know, but that's valid because if we are all gonna die anyway shouldn't we be enjoying ourselves now? You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor insignificant preamble to something else.

Baring any major turnaround he will be gone after this season. Only reason he is still around is because he did so much to get the refurbishment of Memorial Stadium done so I think they were just giving him one season in it. I would be shocked if he stays around after this season. I got mixed feelings on it though. I understand it's a "what have you done for me lately" attitude in sports, but he is the all time leader in wins for Cal and has overall done some great things for our program.

He's definitely a good coach but I think Cal has reached their potential under him. He's been very successful overall there and they could very well keep him, but his one niche was developing QB's into NFL talent and he hasn't done that since Aaron Rodgers was in college. Guys like Kevin Riley and Nate Longshore have been complete disappointments.

This is an excellent point, Tom. This is the best way to explain the mentality behind the hiring / firing of coaches.

I wanted to jinx myself. My opponent in fantasy had the msu defense, and it only garnered him 9 pts. I won, all is good.

Can't forget about Joe Ayoob and currently Maynard. At least Ayoob has the credit of holding the record for longest paper airplane throw. I'm still so disappointed by Longshore. If there was every a guy to look like a sure NFL QB coming out of high school it was him and bam he just sucked period.

You don't throw 4 picks and lose a fumble in a single game and still win a Heisman.
