Justice will close one of the stages, probably either Outdoor or Sahara, their lighting/stage setup is way too big and immovable to have them on the main stage and have to move all that shit out of the way before ATDI start...

Based on this video it looks like it would fit perfectly on the outdoor theatre, even in the Sahara this lighting rig would be a tight squeeze and the open design looks like it would be better suited to an outdoor stage.

You've even got room for them to go on after Girl Talk on your schedule, I would say just throw Justice on outdoor theatre 11:00-12:00 (or 10:30-11:30 and move the set times down a bit...)

Just sweet Girl Talk and Justice to solve this

Florence should be in Justice's slot, with Beirut playing before.

Girl Talk should play before Justice.

Wild Flag should close the Gobi...Beats Antique should be out of the Sahara...and switch Thundercat with Le Butcherettes

Beats Antique isn't a Sahara act, I see them in the Outdoor a little earlier or in the Mojave

also - the logic behind it is that Justice is listed third. They're subheadlining. Which means they will likely play the Main. And MOST likely will not conflict with either ATDI or Dre/Snoop.
Also that slot is similar to Kraftwerk in 2008.
ALSO they've already closed out the Sahara twice. I doubt it happens again, especially since they are subheadlining this year.

That makes sense. I was just throwing out the idea of them closing the Outdoor since some people were saying it would take a long time to take down their stage setup and they did have the #3 billed act in 2010 Thom Yorke close the outdoor to a silent main so there is a precedent.

No you shouldn't get involved if you are comparing Wiz and The Weeknd. They aren't even the same genre. It's not the drug references, it's the overall ambiance of their music. Wiz is happy, summery, laid back rap songs. Perfect for daytime. The Weeknd sounds like desperately drunk dialing an ex while on a coke comedown at 3:30 at night. I doubt anybody involved with the project has seen sunlight for months. The mixtapes reek of insomnia. Anybody who is remotely familiar with their music is going to agree. There is absolutely no way in hell they play main or daytime or even sunset. Nighttime in the Mojave or Outdoor are the only two options here.

I don't know. There's definitely a possibility that Modeselektor will get a slightly earlier slot that won't conflict with Dr. Dre. There are a lot of big EDM acts that night that are more likely to conflict with Dre - ie. AVICII and Justice

Seriously though, I'm coming around to Justice on the outdoor, maybe against ATDI (with a silent outdoor for Dre/Snoop) because it seems like there is going to be more fan overlap with Justice/Dre than with Justice/ATDI. In this situation, throw Calvin against Justice and AVICII against Dre.

I know I toyed around with the idea of Justice closing the main after Dre when the lineup first came out, but yeah I agree.

Justice starting at 7:15 means they wont be playing in the daylight. The first 15 minutes will be during sunset, and the rest will be in the dark.
