Agreed regarding Awolnation. Their hit "Sail" has 3 YouTube videos, with a combined 20 million views. Possible slots would be Main stage somewhere between 2-5pm, Outdoor slot between 3-6pm, or a Mojave slot after 5pm.

I can guarantee you that The Black Keys will not play for 2 hours. Maybe 90 minutes. Some people have played 3 hours. Some have played 2.5. The headliners slot time DOES vary.

It's because they knew the Chemical Brothers were the real headliners. I bet it works the same this year time-wise, except with The Black Keys and SHM (although in this case, I consider the Keys to be the true headliners).

An argument over a a real or true headliner is pretty dumb when it's actually written out by Coachella in the poster. The idea that Coachella is playing mind games or massaging ego's by having a real and fake headliner is pretty humorous.

While I certainly wasn't interested in KOL i'm sure the majority of people at Coachella were, Chemical Brothers may be more popular here on the boards but the average attendee owns one of the last two KOL albums.

Rage Against The Machine had 80 minutes in 2007. Red Hot Chili Peppers got 75 minutes, and they were playing 2+ hour shows on that tour. Prince was also scheduled for 75 minutes in 08... but he played over 2 hours. Because Prince does what he wants.
