+10 for picture's size exemplifying amount of whiskey you had.

i brought in a case of those big Trader Joe's water bottles, two of which I had emptied out and filled with vodka (there were 5 of us camping) - it was actually overkill, and even with proper mixers (juices at night, complete Bloody Mary fixings for the mornings) and sharing with our neighbors, we didn't even finish the first bottle - it's just too dehydrating to drink that much

also, after the first accidental morning vodka shot, we learned that you can tell the difference between vodka and water easily by shaking the bottle and looking at the bubbles

Or you could just mark the bottles with the vodka in them

I brought a full size keg in last year, and a little CO2 bottle to pressurize it from my kegerator at home. Just sayin. Make it happen, you all worry too much.

It's not a lie if it didn't happen to me. They just did a quick squeeze and that was that. They were more interested in looking in the cooler. If you have a ton of ice in it, I am sure they are less likely to put their hands down to the bottom of the cooler to search for alcohol. They found mixers we had, but never found the alcohol and never questioned it. After searching for hours they are less likely to check as thoroughly. In addition, I am sure if you dress normal they are less likely to search hardcore as they would someone with no shirt on, paint on their body, headband, and aviators. Profiling is always apparent.

I would suggest just drinking 5 days worth of alcohol before getting in, and then you can be drunk the entire weekend, due to logic.

Luckily I didn't have it happen to me, but it DID happen.

^This is probably why it didn't happen to me. So very, very true.

Handicap parking is the best ever with in and out. My group loaded up one cooler with food and the other with booze. With parking right behind and in between the Gobi and Mojave tents we walked back and forth without having to sneak anything in. Plus we saved a TON of money by doing this and avoiding $9 beer.

hahaha this^. We usually sneak it in by filling up a few bottles and putting them back in a stand ard 35 pack of water. Even if you got searched hardcore they aren't going to check each water bottle. Just make sure you mark the bottles or use the trick above. Ill never forget watching my buddy take a fat swig of cuervo silver at 7am after rolling...the anguish.

They let us through with two large glass bottles of Jack last year as long as we promised not to 'throw it around'

all of these responses are stupidly hilarious, but dont you all think the coachella people read all this? wow.

Security was a joke (though very nice!) when I went through. They were just chit chatting about music and life with me while kind of glancing through the car. They straight up told me that 1)if the people in the car look like a couple, they're less likely to hardcore search your car because they figure couples are more responsible (I know that's weird, but it's what they said. I was going with a male friend so they assumed we were a couple) and 2) that they have a "don't ask, don't tell" policy when it comes to drugs and alcohol, so that as long as you make a halfway decent attempt to hide your stash they'll turn a blind eye, and all they care about with alcohol is that it's not in glass bottles.

However, I did see a large van get a lot of alcohol and paraphernalia taken from them ahead of us, but they were probably being stupid about it.
