FWIW, I don't think people expect people at GV to take their cues from these "request" threads. Posts contained therein strike me as more "wouldn't it be nice if ..." and not so much "Hey GV, I'd like to place an order for artist x"

Ugh! watching videos from last year just remind of how dreadful the sahara truly is this year. Last year's sahara lineup had tons of cheese also, but at least there were some sprinkles of legitimate dance artists. Please GV fix this mess!

been looking back at old electronic lineups... this one was pretty weak. But it did have the Orb, Felix, Plump DJs and a chemis dj set... a million times better than this year.

edit: surkin, para one and etienne de cercy do nothing for me. And that live set up from edc was fucking lame.


Throbbing Gristle was the best electronic act on that entire lineup. and they arent even electronic music, per se.

Buried in the finer print was a preview of their 2012 schedule. Coachella was not on it. Will post something in the CP thread when I can dredge it up.

No Modeselektor Week 2

Ugh I didn't realize Gui Boratto played in 09'. I didn't listen to him back then but fuck that would be a must see for me now.

Don't forget in 09 we had the dome bumpin some great stuff. Kode 9, Daedelus, and Flylo all killed it Saturday night. I didn't even leave the dome.

Anyways, they should get John Tejada:



He lives in LA and would be super cheap to book. Saw him DJ in LA two weeks ago and he absolutely killed it.

To this day, Gui goes down as my favorite afternoon dance set. The 100 or so people I counted at Supermayer also got a treat.
