Dear God, I hope so.

Dear God, I hope so.
I wouldn't discount adds just because it's sold out. Sure, they're not going to add any new headliners or anything crazy. But there's definitely room for adds.
Unless they are just going to have less acts this year :\
also, yes - I would absolutely love to see Fiona Apple there.
I'm not discounting adds at all because it's sold out. All I am getting at is with the money it would take for Fiona Apple to appear they could use and get 2-3 smaller acts because I do agree that there is more then enough room to fill out the line up.
They have so much alternative, they need to work on the edm lineup.
I'm guessing this project of hers won't be released for a while due to her record label looking for a "hit"

Does the fact that Cat Power and Feist are on the lineup already make it more or less likely that Fiona Apple would be added?
Assuming that adding her is even feasible in the first place.
I'm sorry. Is the logic here, "She's releasing new music, therefore, Golden Voice is NOW going to try and book her?"

Remind me again when Kanye West was added in 2006?
The logic is that maybe her label will ask for a late add because the music was recently finished and they now want a large stage to see it performed. The fact that this is not that likely to happen is a slight against how this festival is run these days. Just make it happen GV.
Was Kanye West added in 2006 because Pitchfork released a news quip about him releasing new music?

Well Fiona seems to hate her label (look at the fiasco for "Extraordinary Machine" release)
And I believe Kanye was a late add in 06 due to someone dropping out. He was around 4pm and was very forgettable. Awful sound, he could barely keep his breath up for "Gold Digger"

Yes, that was a fiasco, but it seems it wasn't all Epic's fault. If my interpretation of the history is right, she fully embraced the decision to re-record most of the album. I think it was a smart choice, too. As much as I love Jon Brion, his orchestral arrangements were overblown and bombastic. A whole album of that stuff would have been akin to a meal of foie gras -- far too rich. I think the stripped down sound better suited the other songs and put Apple's songwriting, rather than Brion's talent with orchestration, front and center. Leaving the orchestral arrangements on just the two tracks allowed those songs to shine in their quirky, charming way without drowning the whole album in whimsy.
Anyone attended her recent slew of Largo shows? Has she been playing new material?
Every band I like that is releasing music in the next few months will probably be a late add to Coachella.

Everyone. YAY unlimited budgets and blowing dollars for no reason.
northside groove...southside groove....eastside groove...westside groove
That means she's going into studio to work on an album....that's it.
Nothing gets past baily.
