Name the only person here who would openly be proud to having a tape deck right now.

I still have a tape deck. And probably thousands of mixtapes which I used to sell, but the last people buying them were prison inmates.
One of these days I'm going to make a suit out of cassettes.

I know these two events are completely different from each other, but I went to Hard Summer this weekend for a few hours to catch Miike Snow and Bloc Party (I didn't explore the venue at all to assess the dirt situation I read about on here)

But I was wondering if the security parameters they had at Hard Summer are a condition of the city permit to have a festival there, or will it be more lax? We didn't expect to have to take our shoes off. They basically checked everywhere but the places they needed to; undergarments. Felt so pointless and took so long. Hoping that wasn't a city requirement.

You actually think the city makes rules for music events regarding entry? They just want to make sure they get their fucking money. The promoter is the one making the rules up regarding searches.

Spotify research indicates that these are two of the shittiest bands in recent memory, so the improvement is that they will be scheduled opposite bands that are actually worth watching?

Don't get me wrong - I think a lot of hateful shit about all the mediocre bands that people go crazy for. I just didn't think I expressed that much of it here, or that I was known for these views.

Just watched a couple videos of recent Against Me! Just out of curiosity, I am never one to look at line ups or previous shows(Lazy) and I'm definetly digging this. Laura's voice is a lot crisper and less 'puberty crackling' sounding for lack of better description (which in most cases I really liked as well). I think if anything her voice has even improved. V.V. Excited!!! Also, getting back into listening to Cursive is bringing back some buried/forgotten memories of high school.
