I know these two events are completely different from each other, but I went to Hard Summer this weekend for a few hours to catch Miike Snow and Bloc Party (I didn't explore the venue at all to assess the dirt situation I read about on here)
But I was wondering if the security parameters they had at Hard Summer are a condition of the city permit to have a festival there, or will it be more lax? We didn't expect to have to take our shoes off. They basically checked everywhere but the places they needed to; undergarments. Felt so pointless and took so long. Hoping that wasn't a city requirement.

Pretty stoked on The Orwells from what I've heard so far. Apparently they are 16, 17, and 18 years old.
Due to scheduling conflicts, Wild Flag regret they need to cancel their performance at FYF Fest
What scheduling conflicts?! They just played here last Friday and they have no more shows scheduled! Maybe Carrie will be filming new episodes of Portlandia....
Speaking of Portlandia, enjoy this interview with a feminist bookstore lady and J Mascis!
Dammit that sucks! Really into their album especially "Something Came Over Me."
Does anyone wanna let me pass out at their place/hotel so I dont have drive home drunk?I promise Ill to bring beer and whiskey in a bag to the after party.
I haven't listened to either but I've heard a lot of people say good things about both. Also Gabe, historically you hate a lot of things that other people like.

No, Drinkey just wanted to correct somebody on opinion.
I didn't correct anything. I'm also not going to go back and find every instance in which Gabe talked shit about new artists that people were excited about either, but it happens.

I don't know that this actually means anything, but FYF did just say this:
For all those asking about the schedule, which day bands are playing, single day tickets, the time it starts and ends (12:00pm - 12:00am) and all that... Details coming on Monday. Hang tight and have an amazing weekend.

A schedule this early would be nice. I didnt expect to see it until the last week of August.
Just watched a couple videos of recent Against Me! Just out of curiosity, I am never one to look at line ups or previous shows(Lazy) and I'm definetly digging this. Laura's voice is a lot crisper and less 'puberty crackling' sounding for lack of better description (which in most cases I really liked as well). I think if anything her voice has even improved. V.V. Excited!!! Also, getting back into listening to Cursive is bringing back some buried/forgotten memories of high school.
