What makes you think just because it's Labor Day a band won't fly to do a gig? Happens all the time, especially matters of "flying cross country same day of show blah blah blah". I just love the idea of Thee Oh Sees or their management turning down this show to say, "Oh heavens! We mustn't miss Labor Day!" think about it. Plane tickets from LA to NC are probably cheaper than SF to NC...or they could hightail it back to SF and leave from there. So many similar bands I know haul ass between LA and SF on the reg.

Tl;dl you don't know everything, so stop putting people down like you own the place.

I've seen Fucked Up 9 times and Damien was only able to maintain his vocals at the same level of consistency two or three of those times. Doesn't matter so much, they're a blast live.
