Just picked up G1 tix for 60 bucks. not too bad... worth it for Wilco and Joanna. I'm excited! I've been wavering back and forth on whether to go, but now I just have to.

The LA Phil aren't playing the show at all, as far as I've seen. it's an LA Phil show in they they are promoting it and it's not a lease event. The Bowl and the Disney Hall are both run by the LA Phil.

Oh I assumed since it said "Wilco, LA Philharmonic" on the ticketmaster purchase page that they were playing with them.

If the bowl listing does not say it, then its not happening. Ticketmaster is probably using the l.a. phil to link to all the events they put on. So yeah, keep dreaming.

I was there last night for Carmina Burana. The translation from Latin for the lyrics around which Orff composed the music are a bit goofy, occasionally eliciting chuckles from the crowd. But the vocal leads and chorus were spot on. Fantastic time. Love me some HB.

I think the major thing about the bowl is, most people don't realize that they can drink wine and talk loudly over music in their own house.
