Nice! How big of a group are you doing it with, and do you plan to do anything else while you're in the high desert?

It just dawned on me again that I need to figure something out for thursday afternoon. Last year I went to Joshua Tree and paid homage to Gram, which was a really cool way to start my Coachella weekend. So I may do that again. Seems particularly relevant this year since First Aid Kit are playing.

Last year I entered JTNP at the southern entrance (the one just off I-10) which is actually pretty remote from the visitors center and stuff. As I drove through the park I played GP and Grievous Angel in my car as I made my way it to the cremation site. Then I sort of walked around and stared and tried to tune in that night in 1974. I tried to picture Gram dragging Keith out here and getting high in the middle of the night and staring at the stars. After a while I had to go to the bathroom so I left.

7 of us. We had to settle with the pop-up group because the private appointment times were all booked. But it's not a big deal to us, should be fun meeting new people. We don't have anything else planned. We are going straight from the Integratron to Car Camping.

It would be fun to get a group of board members who would be interested in this sort of thing to meet up. Not sure how it works logistically given the damned size of the place (and that I am coming from the east) (and am not sure what time I'll get there).

Tom I'll hang out with you in Joshua Tree on Thursday afternoon. We're going to do the Integratron on Thursday morning, so I'll already be in the area too.

I just want to state how excited I am for the Integratron.

Also, if I don't get tickets to see Refused on the 12th, I would be interested in visiting Joshua Tree too.

I'm less than 45 minutes from the West gate. A quick heads up to me at troysbro@yahoo.com and I can meet you at the gate or any of the landmarks in the park.

My Thursday is shaping up to be:

Whining about being up early --> chocolate chip pancakes --> sound bath --> threatening sharpie carriers with stabbing if they mark on my face if I fall asleep during the sound bath --> nappy time --> picking up John and Tiff from Target --> pool --> dinner --> beer/house party.

I don't think I could ever do something like this before Coachella. My mind would just be elsewhere.

    After is a different story.

That looks a lot like my day, only I'll be having banana pancakes and carrying a sharpie.

I saw some other people referenced the Living Desert, That place is really cool. My parents are members there so I get in free anytime I come to the desert. There's a bunch of animals Cheetahs, Jaguar's, mountain lions, leopards, Giraffes, Big horn sheep, etc. It's also a botanical garden too so just walking around is fun. Highly recommend this place http://livingdesert.org/

Stop this slander. I know I didn't vomit because I'm an alcoholic. The good kind, though.

Indian Canyons is great (bring a bathing suit). Want to check out Ladder Canyon: http://www.in-the-desert.com/laddercanyon.html
