Booked us an Integratron appoinment for the 19th. Should be a great way to start the weekend.
It just dawned on me again that I need to figure something out for thursday afternoon. Last year I went to Joshua Tree and paid homage to Gram, which was a really cool way to start my Coachella weekend. So I may do that again. Seems particularly relevant this year since First Aid Kit are playing.
Last year I entered JTNP at the southern entrance (the one just off I-10) which is actually pretty remote from the visitors center and stuff. As I drove through the park I played GP and Grievous Angel in my car as I made my way it to the cremation site. Then I sort of walked around and stared and tried to tune in that night in 1974. I tried to picture Gram dragging Keith out here and getting high in the middle of the night and staring at the stars. After a while I had to go to the bathroom so I left.
Tom I'll hang out with you in Joshua Tree on Thursday afternoon. We're going to do the Integratron on Thursday morning, so I'll already be in the area too.
I think he doesn't get in that early. But he should. TOM GET TO LANDERS AT 10:30 AND DO IT WITH US.
SO PUMPED
I'm less than 45 minutes from the West gate. A quick heads up to me at troysbro@yahoo.com and I can meet you at the gate or any of the landmarks in the park.
YES DO IT DO IT.
My Thursday is shaping up to be:
Whining about being up early --> chocolate chip pancakes --> sound bath --> threatening sharpie carriers with stabbing if they mark on my face if I fall asleep during the sound bath --> nappy time --> picking up John and Tiff from Target --> pool --> dinner --> beer/house party.
I don't think I could ever do something like this before Coachella. My mind would just be elsewhere.
After is a different story.

I'm very excited about the prospect of seeing you all. I'm also very excited about weekly not vomiting.
I saw some other people referenced the Living Desert, That place is really cool. My parents are members there so I get in free anytime I come to the desert. There's a bunch of animals Cheetahs, Jaguar's, mountain lions, leopards, Giraffes, Big horn sheep, etc. It's also a botanical garden too so just walking around is fun. Highly recommend this place http://livingdesert.org/

People are-ing all over it on Yelp. There is a $3 off coupon online for the cheapos like myself. Looks like a desert version of the Big Bear one, which I enjoyed alot.
Indian Canyons is great (bring a bathing suit). Want to check out Ladder Canyon: http://www.in-the-desert.com/laddercanyon.html
