Question on passes, camping and the whole set up

Hi All,

Tipping this would be covered a million times before, but want to clarify. Inexperienced Aussie here.

My current status: about to buy a 3 day GA ticket for weekend one on the after market. Sucks, but meh.

Friends of mine picked up two GA tickets with a car camping pass.

Can I just crash on their car camping spot? Do I need to do anything?

The spot is theirs, they can install bunks and sleep 14 on that space, should the individual bunks be narrow enough, and stacked 3 high.

People who haven't been in Car Camping don't actually comprehend how little real space 10x30 is when your vehicle takes up half of it, you have a standard 2-person tent behind your car, a 10'x10' EZ-up, 3 lawn chairs, etc. 2 people per spot in a group is probably the best fit. So while nothing is preventing them from giving you some space, and nothing preventing you from utilizing it, bear in mind that you may end up sleeping on or under their car.

Bunk beds, top idea! that is doable.

We have similar spaces for a festival in AU called Splendor in the Grass.

Car, tent and couple of chairs. Tight, but you only go back there to sleep once the day is done.
