Due to almost no response I'm calling this off. Sorry Bryan. Maybe I can find another day soon that will work.

What kind of cereal do you keep in the house?
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

Well, I guess that makes attending the other things I had that day a tad bit easier.

I was super sold on Dustin Wong. Great stuff there.

The Prince single was 17 Days (the b-side to When Doves Cry), and Thee Oh Sees was The Dream side of Carrion Crawler/The Dream.

Edit: Zack, just the first side of the album.

Nah, aside from the Air France and the Prince single, we didn't listen to anything in full. Meetup was about 4 hours.

Bryan: The B side of the Dustin Wong is even better than the first, by quite a bit, I'd say. Give it a listen.

Hahaha. But seriously though, cabin rentals at Convict Lake are affordable, and there are areas that are even more remote and probably more affordable. It'd be a 5 hour trip for LA people, probably a 7 hour drive for Bay Area. There's an airport in Mammoth too, and they do flights from LA and San Jose. Maybe now San Francisco, but I'm not so certain.

Anyway, I'd be super down to do a Bishop/Mammoth Snow record club if we had enough people to do it up right.

I'll check on cabin prices next week when I'm up there. If there are only a few people, my parents are down with hosting folks, but they're also parents. If we got around 6 I think we could make a cabin or condo feasible.

Completely, 100% down for MLK weekend. Oustanding idea. I know it's not common, but I'm really big on restaurants that have good bread (like, the bread they serve you with glasses of water at the beginning). And out of all of my travels, hundreds of restaurants later, this place in Convict Lake my family went to like 15 years ago still has, to this day, the best fucking bread I've ever had in my life.

I'm down because I also like bread. I also like the idea of a lake being named after convicts. Music is alright. All of you people are tolerable.

Convict Lake is badass and a half, and the restaurant there is out of this world.

Would it be something where most people skiied/boarded during the day I wonder? I haven't been skiing in probably 10 years, and getting fucked up back at the cabin with some great tunes on and then sledding or some shit would be right up my alley.
