What's your guys set up in terms of music? I could bring my record player if you guys have something we could connect to. We could also get a few people together to bring the pieces so we could do records/iPods/CDs/Beers. I love this idea so much.

Our set up is really only a nice ipod dock, so the best thing would be to bring ipods/iphones, or drives to load stuff into the computer. Eventually we'll get a good set up with an actual receiver and everything. But we have space and we have ample parking and we're next to cool places. We can talk about this week.

I'm so down, and even if we don't compile a record player I'd love to gather for an afternoonish music/beer/food session in downtown. And, as a bonus, my grandma found an old clasp purse and lace stoll that Heather may enjoy. So lots of fun.

I should be able to make it Sunday; I'd be willing to host too, but it seems like people would (understandably) rather go to Downtown on a Sunday afternoon than come out to the Valley

I can also bring my turntable if it's wanted/needed - I would just need a receiver to plug it in to.

I'm just not set up for that at the moment - we'll just have to be animals and listen to digital music files this time around. I swear it will be okay.

I'd be down, depending on time. I'm covering a show downtown on Sunday night and an interview may precede that.

I have a giant beard now, which I feel legitimizes whichever format we end up using.

As I discovered over the last year, having a giant beard legitimizes most things the wearer does. I'm just sad we never got the chance to let them become friends

Any time is good for us. We can start early and do Wurstkuche for lunch, or start later in the afternoon - whatever works for Bryan and everybody else. I am cool to hang out all day.

I had planned on goign to Long Beach on the 15th, but Mike Watt just announced a show in Cypress Park that night at 10 pm. Anyone here interested in catching that? He's always incredible and the bands just tear. I believe this will be with his Secondmen, which is a bit more free-form, and features an organist. I saw them open for RHCP back in 2002 and they were so fucking weird in an arena.

Okay cool, and thank you! I'll shoot you a PM as Sunday draws nearer and I know if I'll for sure be there.

Just looked it up. It is indeed $10. But he doesn't go on till 10:30, a lil too late as I have work the next morning and I have to make the trek back Sunday night..

If invited I might be able to make it. The tentative plan for me right now is to go to a friends who lives in DTLA area so if that's the case I would just crash there for the night. I'll hold off on the PM until I know for sure but this does sound like a fun time. I'll have to pass on the Mike Watt show though.

If people are gonna bring beer for hang out purposes, i might suggest meeting at our place first to put it in the fridge. or course, if you're not going to join for lunch, then you can meet up at the house afterward. or leave beer in the car for an hour and put in the fridge later. So many options!

I was thinking maybe start meeting at our place at 12pm, then walk over to Wurstkuche at 12:30p. Plan on being back at our place around 2pm. This allows a window for people to meet at Wurstkuche if they want, or come straight to our place afterward if they don't want to join for food. it's about a 5 minute walk btw.

Also, Wurst is near Angel City Brewing and if people want to get growlers, that could be a thing.
