I don't recall everything:
Kyle, Zack and I listened to:
Hawkwind - In Search of Space
Pere Ubu - Terminal Tower
Terry Riley - A Rainbow in Curved Air
And some other stuff
When Heidi and Felicia came over (Chris joined somewhere around The Softies or The Verlaines):
King Cole Younger/Atlas Sound - 10" split
Felt - Crumbling the Antiseptic Beauty
Beat Happening - Jamboree
Zack's 7" (which was awesome)
The Softies - It's Love
The Verlaines - Bird Dog
Pete Swanson - Man With Potential
Max Cooper - 12"
The Gun Club - Ahmed's Wild Dream
Todd Terje - It's the Arps EP
Mr. Bungle - California
James Blake - CMYK
Jack Rose - Kensington Blues
And maybe one or two others. That's from memory, so the order may be a bit off. Next time I'll remember to write it down.
Those two 7" were smoke fariesalso the gun club's Lucky Jim side B

I might be able to host at some point when my folks are out. Got a good table and cart now (Technics sl-1200 and denon dl-210) and there'd be plenty of space. Whether anyone wants to drive to the south bay is another issue.

January thru April 29th - The worst time of the year here.
Jason (nosurprises) and myself went record shopping and played some records in Burbank today. I consider this a record club meeting. He also gets brownie points for buying me a pastrami sandwich!

Jealous about that, too. Porto's is so fucking good. I've had their sandwiches and empanadas, so delicious.

They have a Porto's in Downey now, as well, which is much closer to the South Bay than the original location... and I can attest that it is just as good. Also, seeing as how I'm in LB, I welcome a South Bay record club meet up.![]()
I've got the house to myself Sat Oct 13th. I'm going to David Byrne/St Vincent that night so we'd have to clear out by 5 or 5:30 pm, but we could make it a daytime deal. In the South Bay, would send out the address close to the date. Anyone interested?

I could do that day as well, I've got tickets for The xx. I'd just drive up way earlier than normal.
I've got a UCLA football game on the 13th, so I'll have to sit this one out as well.

I'm down to do this even if it only ends up being a small few who attend. Those who said they could or might come, do you feel similarly?

I'd still be down. Less people, we all get to play more.
So this will happen, NEXT Saturday, October 13th, at my place. I'm going out that night, so I'll probably want to have everything wrapped up so I can get ready around 6 pm. So I guess people can start coming over around noon, or 1 maybe? Since the end time lands around dinner, we could either decide to get some pizza or something delivered while we're still listening to records, or people can get their own meals after - whatever works.
PM me your email address if you're coming and I'll send you my address and phone number a few days before.

I am no longer able to make it. Getting rid of my tickets for The xx on saturday and going to Grizzly Bear tomorrow (today, whatever) instead.
