Question What is the process of buying tickets in the secondary market?

Hi everyone! I'm looking to buy tickets in the secondary market, but I don't have much experience with it so I have two questions:

Do you recommend waiting until after wristbands have been mailed out to buy them? So you can figure out if they are legit?
And, what is the process of confirming if a wristband/receipt for a ticket is authentic?

That's a lot of questions for a bunch of people you don't even know.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

If you're going to buy from the secondary market, find a long-time boardie who has an extra ticket or use StubHub. StubHub guarantees tickets and docks the seller if they're fakes (for the cost of getting a real ticket), but you won't get a great price.

Don't buy from Craigslist unless you want to be completely paranoid until you're out of the Festival on Sunday (best case) or get screwed with fakes (worst case). And next year - buy during the presale like most of the boardies do. Start saving $10 a week and you can buy your pass outright by the time they go on presale.

Thanks Tom! Next year I'll convince my parents to let me go earlier and do presale!

As someone who knows 1 too many friends already committing to secondary markets and will be paranoid for the next 4 months, this is amazing advice! If you're going to buy from a secondary market research reputable sites or people that have reputations and hopefully some dignity.
