New album in march. Not overly excited about seeing them, but most of the people i'll be with are stoked so i'll probably be at their set.

Wasn't thrilled with that new song, but I love their first album. I would love to see them, but I'm thinking they are going to be a part of some awful conflicts Saturday night.
Looking forward to the new album, but I'm not crazy about the new song.
Still, they bring it in their live performances, although I think its about time they ditch the masks once and for all... masks are SO 2010...

new track off the up comming album. I never have been into miike snow, but i did catch them at treasure island in 2010 and enjoyed what i heard. I like this single far more than the first one, I'm thinking i will be giving there set a chance this year.
With "Devils Work" it seemed like they were trying to keep the same sound as their first album, so it was a little washed out and didn't grab my attention. With "Paddling Out" they seem to be testing out new things while still maintaining the Miike Snow sound their fans come to see. They were great at Treasure Island and i'll be stopping by their set for sure
I saw them at Sasquatch 2010 and they were great, but the sound quality was sub-par. This year, I was hoping to catch them during San Franchella. Alas, they are at the Fox Theater the same night as Radiohead in Santa Barbara. I'm hoping they'll do another round of the country before the end of Summer. Here's the youtube of the new single Padding Out:
04/10 Modest Mouse
04/11 Jessie Ware
04/14 Beardyman
04/16 Sigur Ros
04/17 Purity Ring
04/17 The 2 Bears
04/18 HTDA
04/18 SMD
04/19 Booka Shade
05/03 Bonobo
05/25 Azari and III
05/29 CHVRCHES
05/30 The xx
06/10 Beth Orton
07/26 The Postal Service
8/2 & 4 Phish
8/9-11 Outside Lands
I really enjoyed their first album. Not sold on their first single on this new album, but I enjoyed the rest of their first album better than that first single as well. Maybe they just don't know how to evaluate what their best songs are?
their set last year at coachella was pretty awesome though.
didn't really dig the new track on first listen but hoping the new album will be good.

saw them twice in 2010 (coachella and a few months later at the clubhouse) and both times their set was a fucking party and a half. easily one of my most anticipated sets regardless of the new material (which i am just now hearing).
same as everyone else, paddling out got my feet tapping more than devil's work. both tracks a certain kind of "punch" from their debut. looking forward to hearing more.
One of my favorite sets from 2010, definitely a must see for 2012.
I also don't see the discrepancy in their billing. They are a pretty popular act and if La Roux is billed as high as they are on Sunday, Miike Snow should be where they are on Saturday. They both are in the same category, except La Roux's sophomore album hasn't even been officially announced yet.
Really like the new single. Hopefully they play the outdoor during Bon Iver.
I wish they were billed for Friday instead of Saturday. Can't think of a better sunset set to kick off the fest. M83 will (hopefully) be a good substitute though.
REALLY excited for this set. Haven't seen them live yet so it should be a treat. Hopefully the lack of posts/replies to this thread means plenty of dancing room.
Making up for a fatal mistake back in 2010 which caused me to miss most of this set. Must-see.

Phoenix was fantastic in 2010. Let's not create revisionist history - that crowd was huge and they put on a very good show. Miike Snow were also very good, but the first half of the set was extremely sterile. The masks and robotic movements, I guess. Still very cool, and they're a must-see for me again.
Phoenix may be radio pop-rock, but they earned their euros in 2010.
