    Default Trading camping passes

So I have a friend who has weekend 2 passes + car camping and wants to trade it for weekend 2 passes + car camping. This all sounds fine and dandy, but I have heard that people's names will be attached to camping passes. How does one go about changing the name on the camping passes? There must be a way to do it. Dani... Im looking at you to answer this one.

If this has been answered elsewhere, please direct me to where.

    Thanks for the help!

Check your post Rage - is your friend trying to switch weekends? Not that it really matters for the issue. All I've read is that the camping pass is linked to the wristband(s) through the ordering system/bar codes and is not transferable. Not sure that means the camping pass is linked to a person's name, and some people on here have suggested a complete swap (a wristband from the order and the linked camping pass.) Last year I don't think wristbands were scanned until you entered the festival (checking into the campground you just had to have your wristband on your wrist) but I guess they could scan wristbands this year as part of the campground check-in if they wanted to.

He wants to do a complete pass sawp with camping pass. I am just wondering if names are attached to camping passes. I dont want either party to get screwed.

Please note: Camping passes are non transferable by themselves. They will only work when scanned with the festival pass it was ordered with originally. If you bought multiple festival passes and one camping pass, the camping pass will only be valid with the first one from your group that arrives. This is to help thwart scalping of camping passes and making camping available to actual onsite campers.

Stubhub and ebay are loaded with listing of camping passes only. So many people are going to be so pissed come April.

Does anyone else hate the way ebay sorts ticket listings now?

There appear to be a lot of people who think it's OK to swap camping passes if you swap the wristbands too. I think Rage wants to hear it's OK from someone official.

I have my doubts if they will follow through with this scanning business, it just sounds like there will be way too many people who will be stuck at the camping entrance with a scalped camping pass that doesn't match, just because its written, doesn't mean people read it. I wouldn't be surprised if they just stated it on the website in an effort to stifle scalping the passes
