if this was on ticketmaster. Sold out in an hour
I bet only half of the tickets were bought by people that actuall wanna go.
Scalpers are heavy. I have four tickets and a car camper.... But many many friends( just like every year since 2010) didn't get tickets
You wanna fook on me?!
just 3 hours. well done.

Yea, i bet scalpers were salivating after last years crazy ticket price hike on ebay, and got any and all tickets they could. Only reason it sold out, probably at all. no way that only 50% of the people who wanted to go got tickets last year.
Yeah the Facebook page is really something else.

The scalper reality in L.A. has really gotten out of hand. Almost every show worth seeing sells out instantly and immediately has lots of tickets on StubHub/CL/Ebay. It sucks.
I'm glad I got tickets. Should be a great weekend for those that get to go, and maybe the scalpers will have to bulk sell their inventory at a discount!
Except for it's not. Its ONE WEEK plus three hours. 75% or more of the week 1 tix were puchased in June. Who knows how many for week 2 we taken up that same week. I know of two people who targeted week 2 because of work conflicts. Just get your shit together people if you don't want to be shut out.
I hope there is never a lottery, but I do hope the standby room is fixed next year. I remember it was a pain back in June during the layaway too. Next year Coachella will be a festival that sells out before the lineup is announced. I never want to be in a position to not get tickets, but it is going to get harder and harder every year from now on.
Coachella 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12[1+2], 13[1+2]
Anyone who doubts scalpers didn't cause this is a fool. I got my tickets so I could care less, but like Tom said
Look at Craigslist. They know how cracked out Coachella attendees are, burning man , Glastonbury and any other big show is the same ting. Everyone wants something for nothing. Come ups. Investments.
You wanna fook on me?!
It'd be nice if they kept the pre-lineup advanced sale and then did a lottery system for the rest.
Wow... I had a bet with a friend that it would sell out in 6 hours... I thought I was going a bit quick... Guess not... Feeling real good we went with pre-sale...
To those bitching about scalpers, look at the numbers. With ~650 W1 festival passes currently on sale on stubhub and an estimated ~350 already sold, you have about 1k tickets being resold. Assuming 75k people will attend each weekend, that's ONLY 1.3% of the attendance. Even if my numbers are off by a factor of 10 (pretty big error margin), that's still a modest percentage. Scalpers simply aren't depleting the supply.
Face it, Coachella is popular and lots of people want to go. It's an undeniable fact that Coachella's demand has outgrown Goldenvoice's ability to supply, even with a second weekend.
If you REALLY want to go to Coachella like I do every year you should be able to plan 6 months in advance and get tix during the pre-sale. You can give whoever you work for a 6 month notice that you're going to be taking some days off, and plan the weekend accordingly. Whoever didn't get tickets obviously doesn't love the festival as much as the people that got their tix during the pre-sale, so I really have no sympathy for you.

Blind allegiance. That's what Coachella needs more of.
Not surprised, look at the EDM cheese lineup, they alone could have sold out the festival...
