EC Twins confirmed on their Facebook page that they'll be at Coachella.

So I dunno where to post this info, but I emailed Tiger & Woods' rep about Coachella and they said they'll be playing a day party at the Ace Hotel. Their tour dates on facebook had 4/14 with question marks, so there ya go.

Tensnake and Azari & III played there last year and for some reason I was hopeful that either of them might pop up on this year's lineup. But yeah; it's like a day time pool party. Stilettos. Bathing suits. People excited about the headliner.

That's really annoying. The EDM artists booked for pool parties are more forward thinking than the shit in the Sahara tent. What the hell...

Seriously... I really hope that Coachella goes back to a more balanced Sahara... at least some good acts early in the day like a Green Velvet or a Gui Boratto (in 09).

I wonder if the less-than-stellar response to Sven Vath last year influenced the booking... When a techno legend plays to a 3/4 empty tent, I could see how they might shy away from booking more techno... Really sad.

Nope, that explains absolutely nothing. Every single year sees a number of acts playing to tiny audiences. Why must the Sahara be packed all day long? Answer: it doesn't.

Joking aside, there really isn't a cogent jusitification for the sloppy Sahara booking. The new guy is useless.

Was Sven Vath really that empty? wow, that really sucks. I planned on seeing him, but set times sucked last year for me(he conflicted with Nas, AND DFA1979). I was so upset, Sven Vath was one of the few sahara acts I was excited for.

Hmmm. I had been lead to believe otherwise by long-standing board members. And no, not in a joking manner. But it doesn't really matter.

If Paul Tollet personally booked the Sahara this year, the same criticism applies in equal measure. 4/5 of the festival was seemingly curated w/ care, 1/5 was seemingly not. Perhaps its an aberration. Perhaps not. Guess we'll find out next year.
