If he were still touring Cosmogramma I'd agree that it would be pretty likely (I'm sure Thrundercat would be there as well), but since he's debuting a new album I don't really think it will happen. We have no idea who worked on this album with him, and I don't think Thom would make an appearance if he isn't on the new tracks in the first place.

Went in w/ such high expectations but Flying Lotus was a tedious muddle at TI. Going to give him another chance at Coachella. Hoping for better. It may be this sort of thing doesn't quite do it for me.

Felt exactly the same. I went in thinking I was going to get my mind blown but it was all over the place. Just too much stopping and abrupt transitions. It wasn't horrible but defnitely not memorable.

I was watching YouTube footage of Flylo's set from Coachella 2010 and it made so fucking pumped. This could be my favorite performance of the entire weekend.

Also can't wait to hear the new album live.

Flying Lotus has his good days and bad days. Everyone does. But I have plenty of faith that Coachella will be special. This is his home festival (home being LA). My guess is he brings out some guests... Tokimonsta is in town and obviously GLK is also playing as well as Thundercat. There's gonna be some Brainfeeder madness going on for his set, no doubt.

As the friend in question, I should apologize and clarify. He tweeted that he was excited to check out Godspeed You! Black Emperor at Coachella, not Gaslamp Killer. So yeah, I uh mixed up the names there. Sorry to start a false rumor. Still possible though.
