Nothing, that's why I said few changes

    seriously?
Yeah, love that song, takes me straight back to Sept '97. I can remember where I was the first time bbc radio1 played it. Hyde Park Corner roundabout London

So I certainly don't have any say. Haven't listened to the album OR seen a live performance, was interested though. Will the set be enjoyable in your opinions?

I bought a ticket to see him at the Orpheum Theater in Phoenix the Wednesday after Weekend 1. He's still probably my #1 priority for Saturday (since I'll have seen Radiohead twice since September by that point) but with how loaded that day is, it's good to know that I don't have to stake out a good spot since I'll get to enjoy a proper headlining gig in an intimate venue just a few days later.

I think the self-titled album is pretty solid, actually. I hadn't bought an Oasis album since Standing on the Shoulders of Giants but I think his songcraft has remained strong. Some of the song titles are maybe a little goofy (the two "AKA"s could do without the preface) but "Broken Arrow" is among the best songs he's written.

I like the backup choir's effect to the song. It adds an element of more beauty to the song. Reminds me of when Oasis had a symphony to back them up in the good ol days

Definitely near the top of my must-see list for Saturday.

This is one of my favorite HFB tracks:

Were this the case, which seems likely, I'd have no idea what would take precedent, staking out a good spot for Radiohead or singing along to Don't Look Back in Anger. I've already given up on Bon Iver, but throw in Mangum, St. Vincent, Flylo, Miike Snow and GY!BE, and Saturday night is just terrifying.

Well that settles that. I'll make sure to see the last ten minutes of his set to catch Don't Look Back In Anger, and no more conflict.

Noel Gallagher has a second solo album in the works, a collaborative effort with psychedelic dance duo Amorphous Androgynous. Our first listen of their efforts comes via “Shoot A Hole Into The Sun”, which appears as a b-side on the High Flying Bird’s new single

so a piece from the amorphous androgynous album is just a high flying birds remix. hm.

but really, this was the first listen off that album:

How can any of you not see A Godlike Genius?

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012...her-nme-awards

Former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher was declared a godlike genius at the NME Awards on Wednesday night.

The magazine's editor, Krissi Murison, hailed him as "a man who has written more anthems in the last two decades than anyone else".

Taking to the stage at Brixton Academy in south London to collect his honour, the rock star behind a string of hits including Wonderwall and Don't Look Back In Anger paid tribute to his fans.

He said: "To all the people up there who bothered to buy a ticket, a CD or a T-shirt because that's what fucking counts, the merchandise thank you."

Singer Paul Weller, Kinks frontman Ray Davies and comic Russell Brand paid homage to the Mancunian songwriter, with Brand calling him "a hero to a generation".

Fellow 90s Britpop act Pulp were recognised for their outstanding contribution to music and frontman Jarvis Cocker dedicated the award to "all the people who came to see us last year".

The Sheffield-born singer, whose band reunited for a series of gigs in 2011, said: "A concert without an audience is just a very long soundcheck."

Other big winners included Florence + The Machine, who beat Adele to the title of best solo artist despite admitting "it's never been clear whether I am a solo artist", and Kasabian, who scooped the best British band award.

The Leicester rockers dedicated their prize to the Monkees lead singer Davy Jones, who died on Wednesday, bursting into an impromptu version of the group's theme song on stage.

Arctic Monkeys won the accolade for best live band, while the Stone Roses reunion was declared the year's greatest music moment.

Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, whose band got the award for best reissue for the complete re-release of their albums, said he was "really, really happy people still like those songs because we really liked making them".

Last night in Chicago was pretty awesome. The new songs sound great live. There wasn't one song in the set where I got bored or distracted. I know it'll probably be hard to see if he's right up before Radiohead but I highly recommend catching this set. I was relatively sober too!

He didn't play it the other night. Not sure how much in rotation it is in the setlist. Don't Look Back in Anger sing-a-long is much better anyways

Saw Noel in Philadelphia when he first got to the States. Was 3 rows back and had a fantastic time. He really rocked the place and I am hoping the time doesn't conflict with Radiohead (I saw Oasis twice and the aforementioned NGHFB in Philly).

So its safe to say Don't Look Back In Anger will be the closing song? Because that's really all I want to hear. It was my favourite song on What's The Story.
