Interested to see if this festival will make a fan of me. My greatest exposure has been by way of the Easy Star All-Stars tribute, and having a good musical friend who is obsessed with them.

I am no salesman but I have a feeling you should have a fresh drink in hand and take it all in.
yes, pearly would be spectacular. and it might be possible given the bust-outs we've seen in the 1st leg of the tour, ie meeting in the aisle and amazing sound of orgy. interested to see what they do next week leading up to the festival. below is a breakdown of the tunes from leg 1, this gives you an idea of the setlist structure they've been using

This thread needs a Lift, but that's already been posted, so,
sell your suit and tie, and...
(also a nice moment with Nigel at the end)
two more working days til
No, don't, don't cut my hair, Ned loves my hair.
Trust me, it will. They don't dick around when it comes to putting on a live show. Oh and yes, there's a ton of lights and rotating lcd screens to accompany their beautiful music on this tour. I saw them last month in Glendale and it was all so mesmerizing. I cannot wait to relive that.
i feel like RH might be kinder to Weekend 2 for some reason
Is that what your spreadsheet says?
Just watched the entire 2004 set on youtube at work. I don't think I'll be able to do an honest day's work this week, I'm too excited.
Weekend 1
Friday: Blur, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Japandroids, Earl Sweatshirt, Jamie XX
Saturday: Phoenix, The xx, Postal Service, New Order, Hot Chip, Grizzly Bear, Descendents, Violent Femmes, Bat For Lashes, Danny Brown
Sunday: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Vampire Weekend, Wu-Tang Clan, James Blake, Grimes, Dinosaur Jr., OMD, Cloud Nothings
Coachella 2004, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013.
The setlist from Tokyo? Yeah, thats one that is hard to match. Timeless gems from every album. This tour is a bit different because mostly everything is from Kol, In Rainbows, with a random hints of Kid A, Amnesiac, HTTT, and OKC. When I saw them there wasn't anything played from the Bends which was a bummer. But I got to hear Paranoid Android and Airbag so I guess that evens out. I'm just really hoping for weekend 2 I get to hear Idioteque again because you can never hear this song too many times, and it'd be amazing to hear Street Spirit.
Only 4 more days til Santa Barbara bowl!! Can't wait!
You don't know what's in store, but you know what you're here for . . . Even though, you don't roll, trust me girl, you wanna be high for this.
Not sure if I should listen to the new songs on YouTube or wait to hear them myself on Saturday....
How did I miss "A Punch Up at a Wedding"? What a great song, even if chances of hearing it anytime soon are zilch.
edit: "Scatterbrain" is nice too.

Can't wait to see them in San Jose this Wednesday! Here's to hoping they are replacing Myxamotosis with Punchup *crosses fingers*

I wish this band would reunite at Coachella this year:
Jarvis Cocker (of Pulp) as Myron Wagtail – vocals
Jonny Greenwood (of Radiohead) as Kirley Mcormack – lead guitar
Jason Buckle (of All Seeing I) as Heathcote Barbary – rhythm guitar
Steve Mackey (of Pulp) as Donaghan Tremlett – bass
Steven Claydon (of Add N to (X)) as Gideon Crumb – keyboards and bagpipes
Phil Selway (of Radiohead) as Orsino Thruston – drums
FYI according to Wikipedia check out the running lengths of Night 1 and Night 2's headliners' most recent albums:
The Black Keys' El Camino: 37:42
Radiohead's The King of Limbs: 37:24
I'm finally getting around to watching the King of Limbs From the Basement. I'm 2 minutes in and already gaining a new appreciation for the songs.
Seriously. After they play Saturday, nothing else will matter. Sunday is gonna be blah. Last night was way too good. So glad planet telex and I might be wrong made an appearance on this tour.

Radiohead NEVER disappoints. One of the best performances I have ever seen.
Ehhhh, of the three times i've seen them (including coachella) i agree this was the best performance in terms of energy, but i wasn't too stoked on their choice of set list.
