i kinda feel you on that. I really want to shoot video of this set, but I don't think that is going to be physically possible for me. I'm really hoping they're on the webcast, but if they're not, I might try to get video. I just feel like I have to have a fucking document of this show for history and posterity and shit.

It also looks like the band (well Cedric) is not doing as much crazy dancing. Was it because this was towards the end of the set or was he more collected for the whole performance?

i saw them last night again and the energy is fine. omar does seem to just be going through the motions though but his playing is still spot on, he's just not throwing his guitar around like he does in tmv. cedric was climbing on things and doing his normal thing, but the venues were pretty small and there wasn't a lot of room to really move, so that might be why people think the energy is lower. i assure you it is not though. and cedric's voice is in top shape. my only concern with them playing coachella is that they might turn down the sound like they did during last year during dfa1979. this show needs to be loud or it's kind of a waste.

I was pretty annoyed by his lack of emotion during the show, but given that I just found out that his mom died, I'll withhold some judgment. While I'm sure that he would have been just as seemlingly-bored without that on his mind, death's hard, so I'll pretend that perhaps he had wanted to act like he cared otherwise.
