GY!BE outdoor sunset, Jeff Mangum Outdoor right after, would successfully keep me away from the main stage.
But really I'm pleased that these guys will be at Coachella since I missed their Music Box shows last year.
The Rolling Stones - International Noise Conference: Los Angeles - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Austra - Colin Stetson - The Pacific Rim Projekt - The National - Goat Rodeo - Hopscotch 2013- GY!BE - Beirut/Vampire Weekend
So excited to see them on the lineup. They're one of my most anticipated sets.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
will someone post a fucking video already... this is the one band i must get into before Coachella.
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)
- PEARL JAM WHY YOU HATE COACHELLA? -
Who was it who suggested that they booked those 5 SF shows as a "Fuck you, Goldenvoice!" ?
5/25-5/27: MOVEMENT DETROIT
6/6: The Field @ The Independent
6/26: Colin Stetson @ The Chapel
FUCK YES!
10 minutes late due to extensive amount of gear to set up
30 minutes of dissonant chords increasing in loudness over time
set ends 10 minutes early due to fuck you
COACHELLA '06 '07 '08 '09 '10 '11
08/09 - Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs
08/12 - Sigur Ros
08/24 - Shlohmo
09/01 - FYF Fest
09/11 - Swans
10/06 - Mono
10/13 - The XX
3 songs.
Whiskey Sour
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
Ideally they will get at least 90 mins.
Intro = 10 mins
Gathering Storm = 20 mins
Albanian = 20 mins
Moya = 15 mins
BBF3 = 25 mins
That's 90 mins. I could live with that.
90 minutes with unopposed acts up against them if they played the outdoor might not be doable, though. I'm banking on them playing on a stage that is surrounded by stages with nothing going on at the same time.
5/25-5/27: MOVEMENT DETROIT
6/6: The Field @ The Independent
6/26: Colin Stetson @ The Chapel
I'm predicting Mojave.
What guedita said. Sound bleed would wreck their set. Hopefully it's arranged so they'll have next to none at the most.
definitely in the Mojave.
je suis un extraterrestre
i'll cry like a little bitch if I have to miss some of radiohead for this
The Rolling Stones - International Noise Conference: Los Angeles - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Austra - Colin Stetson - The Pacific Rim Projekt - The National - Goat Rodeo - Hopscotch 2013- GY!BE - Beirut/Vampire Weekend
Bjork - 6.2.13 @ Hollywood Palladium
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - 9.16.13 @ Rialto Theatre
Coachella - 4.11.14 - 4.13.14 @ Empire Polo Grounds
Yes, I don't care what they do or how long they play as long as Moya and BBF3 end up on the setlist honestly.
