yeah. that review is very well written and good.
Calling someone a Philistine is an awesome insult that needs to happen more.
Oh my barf.
42 seconds of that shit, I couldn't listen any longer.
Just realized that the vocalist fronted the International Noise Conspiracy...derp
I'ma ball at the mall shuttin' down the sea wall
I hate that Bloody Beetroots remix so much it makes my teeth hurt. I am not opposed to a remix ( I like some of the others ) but messing with lyrics in such a way that it tears the soul and meaning out the original is heresy !
Yup. Get Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent after that.
Been listening to Refused (for the first time ever) these last few days. I'll be damned if the drumming isn't the tightest I've ever heard on a punk/hardcore record. Who the hell is this guy?
hells yes. im cooler than most because i saw them in 1997 in a vfw hall in nj and i got mic like a mo fo. they were fucking energetic and their pre song banter was hilarious. hope their power works in the big stage scene at coachella with the west coast woosie pussies.
You mean in the early 1980s? While it's true, I don't think that counts anymore now that we're 30 years on.
And we'll show them how to get down. I've been waiting 14 years for this; I'm bringing no less than a pound of confetti for this set.
EDIT:
Yes. Exactly.
If you are new to Refused I hope you are as blown away with the whole package as I was when I discovered them. Yes David is a freakishly tight drummer ( my personal favorite examples of his dexterity are The Deadly Rhythm & the build up at the intro to Rather Be Dead. ) For me it so rare to come across a band like this that ticks all my boxes - musically groundbreaking with out regard to genre, lyrics that are meaningful & thought provoking all wrapped in an ethos that I respect & appreciate. For me they come as close to satisfying what I look for in a band as anyone since Fugazi.
When I think actually getting to witness them live I get all tingly and shit...
Anyone doing the SF show as well? Driving out to SF with friends from Orange County on Wednesday morning, flying back down thursday, then driving out that same day for weekend 2!
Wow, they sound tight. I hope they show up at some more festivals.
Pay them like Coachella is paying them, and sure.
WOW! What quality sounding footage! Impressive! This should be nuts!

Yessss. Thanks for making my morning, supre.
Anyone a little bummed Coachella won't be their "first" reunion show anymore? Cool footage though.
