The graphic designer for the Tupac model must not have been very good with lips... Mic was glued to Tupac's face almost the whole time. Think I only counted two times when the mic wasnt pressed against his polygonal face. Though I could be wrong, that whole night is just a blur for me. Need to watch it on Youtube. Was a great show though. Stayed for Justice, ATDI, then I was all the way up front-left against the VIP gate.

    Coachella 2013 here we go.

The Postal Service - Greek Theater - July 27
Outside Lands - Golden Gate Park - August 9-11

Wow, what a way to close the festival. Absolutely insane. The crowd was going absolutely bonkers the entire time, one of the funnest crowds I have ever been a part of.

I don't know what I was expecting with this set really, I am not a hardcore fan or anything, but I know the big songs of course....

But HOLY SHIT that was a bomb ass set. I am so white (and pretty sure I looked it dancing around), but I did not care, I was singing and dacing to every song. So much fun to get down to that set. And the crowd was insane. Packed in like sardines all the way back, I was in a similar spot as I was for Kanye last year and we had a ton more space then. I had some idea of what was on the bill before the actual set, in regards to guests and the infamous hologram, but damn my mind was still blown. I just kept saying OH SHIIT, like every 5 seconds. And the whole Tupac thing was just crazy, so creepily realistic, yet awesome at the same time.

This could've been the greatest spectacle I've ever seen if the set was at least 10 minutes longer, with "Let Me Ride" and the first two verses of "Dre Day." Perhaps a DPG cut.

I didn't see the webcast but was it 2D or 3D?!

Though the projected image has been widely described as a "hologram," it is a 2-D image and not a hologram, which is 3-D.

Representatives for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg plan to discuss logistics for a tour involving the two performers and the virtual Tupac, according to a person familiar with the discussions.

One option would be a tour in stadiums, involving other hip-hop stars, including Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa. Alternately, they could stage a more limited tour, featuring only Dre, Snoop Dogg and the virtual Tupac, in smaller arenas

I've never seen such a positive reaction from a crowd at the main stage. The entire place was getting the fuck down. It's going to go down as one of the best performances ever.

Of course it was actually 2D, the technology to project actual 3D holograms does not exist. It was a projection onto a screen. it was very well done though.

The perfect way to end a weekend, I couldn't have asked for better. Could they have played longer? yeah..but that wasn't up to them. Curfew Sunday is 12:00am.

I was just watching the stream. I hope it ends up being better when I'm actually there this weekend. You proved a lot of good points though

You all laughed when I suggested G-funk at Coachella. You all called me crazy. I would say I have the last laugh, but when a set is as good as that, I think we are all winners
    G-funk acquired, thank you Coachella

It was my 3rd Coachella in a row and I can honestly say I've never enjoyed a set as much. I remember buying The Chronic and Doggystyle on cassette. It was the most perfect way to relive my teen years/university soundtrack. The fact the every single performer was amazing and the setlist was spot on perfect made it the single greatest concert performance I've ever seen in my 21 years of attending concerts.

I was there with seven friends, all with vastly different musical taste, but all 8 of us were rockin' out and singing along to every song. We watched from the VIP up near Spicy Pie and all had enough space to just go off. We're still talking about it.

It was a perfect ending to a perfect weekend. All the amazing highs easily blur out the mild hiccups. I'll be back next year, no question. The thing is... Coachella will find a way to top this next year. I can't wait.

My friends and I aren't hip hop by any means and I've never owned a CD from Dre or Snoop or anyone who was on stage for that show, but we were all getting down.
I feel sorry for anyone who can't have fun at a set like that.

if you weren't there, you just don't understand...

that was the best party i've ever been to -- everyone in that crowd was absolutely losing it for an hour straight. there were many songs where i found myself putting my head in my hands cause i couldn't believe i was hearing these songs performed live. if you can't have fun at a set like that, or would rather find something to bitch about than appreciate the spectacle you were treated to, i feel really sorry for you.

for those who want to relive the madness, the whole set is up on dailymotion and both parts are in this article - http://pitchfork.com/news/46159-watc...gram-of-tupac/ -- i've already watched it twice...

Now you're confusing threads. You're referring to the justice thread, and if you string together that exchange you'll realize what you said doesn't really make sense.
    Seriously dude, slow down.

And the hilarious thing here is that "talking down" to you actually does seem to have quite an effect on you.

    let it go, genius.

btw, "suck a fart from my asshole"? top notch.

Very well put, exactly how I feel. Hearing In Da Club and Big Pimpin' on the Main Stage soundsystem surrounded by Coachella-goers was a completely surreal and indescribable feeling of awesomeness. I don't know if I've ever danced harder at main stage. I smoked weed with so many random people next to me, such a joyous unbelievable experience. Can't wait to relive it.
