I have not heard it. I prefer to take in full albums and tend to stay away from singles. That being said, whenever they are posted in a thread like this, I always give them a listen...I just don't seek out singles (normally) to put on my rig.

Having said that, could you please post that track in here. I'd like to hear it. Cheers.

EDIT: on the grammy talk....one big difference b/w AF & GB is that the former had already blown up by the time The Suburbs came out. GB is still flying pretty low under the radar so although you guys make some cogent points, your/our music nerdness (vs the Grammy's mainstream shittiness) is where this breaks down.

    "Lord Knows"

Very "Crimson and Clover," one of my favorite pop songs ever, so it's hard for me to be objective about this. A new EP will be out in September.

    Thanks. Found a YT.

Yeah, very Crimson & Clover...thankfully the chorus helps break that up.

It's interesting...need to listen to it more to pick up all of the lyrics. I wonder what was the motivation for it (did she break up with that guy in Crocodiles or something?). From what I can glean, her songwriting just keeps on getting better. Not digging the blonde locks, though.

True, though they are playing some huge fucking venues this fall and they did the score to Blue Valentine.

This is their second full length. I think 2010's Gemini wa better, but this one is very strong too, not much a departure, and I imagine they'll be playing a bunch of it on tour. they're at FYF too, i'm hoping I can catch them

They're a reasonably decent band. Won't set the world on fire, but fairly pleasant.

And re: Grizzly Bear - the song sounds like Other Lives. Very conventional for them. I like the verses and especially the ending, but the choruses are pretty whatever.

I remember when hearing that the last Strokes' album was going to be called Angles, my first reaction was that it wasn't a very imaginative name, and I hoped the music wasn't going to follow suit. Then, I saw the album art, and had the same thought. And sure enough, the album wasn't very good. I have the same reservations about the Grizzly Bear album - not the greatest album title, pretty uninspired album art. Here's to hoping I'm wrong.

Further Seems Forever announced they are putting out a record on 10/23/12 with Chris Carrabba. Typing that sentence made me feel like I was a freshman in high school.

I've been listening to the new yeasayer in the background at work, and while immediately there weren't singalong stand out songs, it's a super strong, nicely dancey album. Looking forward to digesting this one. Methinks this stuff is going to be really fun live.

So the new Dan Deacon is an absolute beast of an album. The album has a huge stylistic range is very chaotic and all over the place, but at the same time its very coherent, very structured, and extremely well produced. "America Pts 1-4" as a whole is an absolutely outstanding composition of music. It was clearly made as one long tracks, but was split into 4 for the album, but that doesn't take away from the song. The album is a whole is great, but "America Pts 1-4" is what really makes it great.

I cannot recomend this album highly enough. I have never really cared for Dan Deacon before, but this album is so ridiculously good. Take a listen.

A quick thought on the Grammy talk. I completely agree with Geezr that GB is way too far under the radar and under established to get that kind of recognition for this upcoming album. AF's Funeral had already ended up on many Top 100 Albums of the 2000's (to that point) and Rebellion was appearing on similar charts amongst top publications in the industry so awarding them for an excellent concept album like The Suburbs isn't that shocking.

I would like to throw out there that I think out of bands that would fall under a broad umbrella of GB, Hot Chip deserves that kind of recognition from the Grammy's. Regardless of where your opinion falls on In Our Head's, with the quality of their entire catalog considered I think they may be in a position to surprise people with an award of that scale.

I'm really happy to hear that the new song from The xx has the same electronic element to it that it did live a few weeks ago. I'm not sure the band would have survived much longer if they had merely followed the same formula as their debut for this new album, and it sounds like they're progressing and evolving and adding things to their songs, and that makes me happy.

Cafe Tacvba released the first single of their upcoming new album. This album was recorded during 4 live session in Argentina, Chile, Mexico and LA and they are going back to their traditional "no drummer" lineup.

Not sure what I think of the new Divine Fits. There are some really quality moments (mostly involving Britt) but from first blush, the middle part of the record falls short. Will keep listening.

    Mt. Eerie - Ocean Roar

We stop caring about Elverum? Another outstanding album, in the vein of Wind's Poem in that he's continuing to use the menace of black metal as a textural element interspersed with typical earnest wistfulness. Words.

    Musics.
