I am enjoying the hell out of the new Spiritualized!
Also, the new Pelican EP Ataraxia/Taraxis is legit. makes me hungry for a full length though.

The Akos Rozmann album that Stephen O'Malley put out on his Mego imprint is a total revelation. Basically what I would imagine a Scelsi musique concrete composition to sound like. Not sure I'm going to listen to anything else for a week or so...
This right here... awwww yea..

I'm loving it after three listens and I'm thinking it might actually be a bit better than Ex-Military, which is no small feat. This release seems a bit more varied in terms of the production styles and Ride's flow/delivery, and that is something which helps to keep it fresh instead of a retread from last year. I can't wait to hear what the other release they have planned for this year sounds like.

Yeah, Money Store has album of the year potential.
"Hacker" is such a perfect ending to such a great album. i do enjoy that so little of the rapping actually rhymes or is of any coherence whatsoever. i feel like i'm listening to genuinely crazy people.

I agree with you about the ending of the album. But the lyrics are coherent (in a Death Grips way) and certainly not reflective of crazy people.
This is the future. Get used to it, bitch.

Yeah, Jack White never ceases to amaze me. It seems like he tried a lot of new things and branched out all over his musical background with this record.

So I am halfway through the new Spiritualized, and I must say I am super stoked on it. Some of the jams are very catchy, and I really dig a lot of the lyrics. "freedom" is my favorite song. it kinda reminds me of The Band in a way.
I have a pretty good feeling that Future's Pluto is going to be on repeat all summer long for me.

Holy moly, Niki & The Dove's Instinct is fucking phenomenal.
EDIT: Okay, this might already be my favorite album of the year, just finishing second listen. it's so lush, layered, moving, and at times, very dancey. These songs are just so expansive and dramatic. Totally in love.

Good to hear. Spiritualized, Death Grips, and Sigur Ros are on the agenda this evening. I have high expectations regarding the latter.

I am waiting for a proper rip before listening to Sigur Ros. They deserve that consideration. Just my $.02. It's not like you don't have enough to listen to...it will leak soon.
The Money Store is keeping my Coachella high going so strong. So so so good.

I never see any talk about them, but I'm so in love with the new Here We Go Magic "A Different Ship". It's a very short album at 43 minutes, but extremely catchy and addictive. From what I understand the album was produced by Nigel Godrich, which happened after he and Thom Yorke watched them play to an empty field at Glastonbury last year.
From the glowing earlier posts it sounds like I definitely need to check out the new Spiritualized record. Downloaded the new Santigold and Ty Segall/White Fence yesterday and I have to surprisingly say I'm really impressed with Santigold, musically it's all over the place and I thought she killed it live @ Coachella last weekend. Oddly the Ty Segall & White Fence record is sort of boring, it's not nearly as rocking as it should be. I had high aspirations for it after watching this video...
