Titled so we don't have another year of forum policing about how something "isn't technically an album."

Can't wait for new Dr. Dog, The Shins, Outkast, DAFT PUNK, maybe even No Doubt... who knows, so many possibilities! I'd also love to hear from Vampire Weekend, MGMT, and various other people who have a good record for putting albums out.

If they do, I hope it is better than their last release. Rick Ruban sucked all the emotion out of them. I was pretty disapointed in the album (although it did have 2 or 3 really great tracks), but I have faith they can still get back on the right track before going too far in the wrong direction.

I read somewhere that Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are recording in 2012, don't know that they'll have an album finished by the end of the year though.
I'm excited to hear what the next Tool, Outkast, MGMT, Grizzly Bear records will sound like.
Edit: Also looking forward to the Presets' and Nosaj Thing's new albums.

Don't listen to this fool. Outkast is coming back next year with a new album finally
“Outkast is on track to release a new album by early next year. Both Dre and Big are working on solo projects; they want those out by the end of 2011.”
ps Big Boi was working with Little Dragon couple weeks ago so we should see his new solo LP soon![]()
Cant wait for my favorite bands' new shitty albums!
Listening to Cloud Nothings' Attack on Memory, liking it a lot.

Was there another thread where someone posted a huge list of upcoming 2012 releases?
And...unless you're going through teenage angst, why would you look forward to the postal service release?
